It takes time to boost our immune system with a vaccine. Around two weeks. The protection is not immediate.
Those who have been vaccinated can still contract COVID however the illness is not as severe and there is a 99.8% chance that you won't die from it. Compare that to those who are unvaccinated and contract the virus.
Yes, we are still waiting FDA appproval. More than 2.75 billion doses of COVID vaccines have been administered globally. If we waited for FDA approval think about where we would be right now. The science of the efficacy of the vaccine is there with or without FDA approval.
Flu vaccines are only about 50% effective. COVID vaccines are over 90% effective. Nothing is 100% except dying.

You bring up good points, Martha. I have been wondering about the survival rates overall for Covid now that the Delta variant has been making rounds. Prior to the Delta variant I read that the CDC numbers listed a survival rate for Covid of 99.74%. I'd like to know how that's changed and how significantly that percentage has gone down (ie how much higher mortality has increased) at present. I think the overall survivability percentage for Covid of 99.74% was an older figure, pre-Delta.

In other related news,...just to let people know how far down the layers of Hell we are falling in America with this. This may be the tip of the iceberg. Just do a quick search, there's a lot going on here.

Is it time for EMS initiated refusal to transport CoVID+ patients?
COVID-19: Is Now the Time for EMS-initiated Refusal? | JEMS

The writing on the wall here is that the hospitals that have the capability of treating the sickest CoVID+ patients are at some state of "near full", "full", or "over capacity". Some hospitals are using vaccination status to triage who gets advanced treatment or not. Some are simply at a point where they are refusing ambulances. Some EMS services are refusing to even transport.

I think this is only the beginning. I think we are going to start seeing some really disturbing things in the upcoming months.

Please get your vaccine.:(

According to the OP, the topic of this thread is a simple logic problem:

Alot of healthcare workers are blowing the whistle.

Alot of healthcare workers are dead even though they had the vaccine.

The library employees ,despite the covid vaccine ,had severe complications.

It's out there should you chose to open your eyes and read it. Anytime the pharma industry is involved, it is wise to be astute. This industry spends millions of dollars lobbying in America. The bottom line is always profit. I will not stand in anybody's way who wishes to be vaccinated. Just as l would not stand in the way of those who choose not to be vaccinated.

There is a lot of information to read "out there" but it is not necessarily based on supported evidence. There is a bias called confirmation bias that many people have. They formulate an opinion then they find information to support it.

If you are going to make statements about what you believe to be true then I ask that you provided credible evidence to support them. To get a better idea of what media you can trust and those that you can't you can look your news sources up here: Media Bias/Fact Check News

"Largest CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Effectiveness Study in Health Workers Shows mRNA Vaccines 94% Effective
Geographically diverse population included across 33 sites in 25 U.S. states" Largest CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Effectiveness Study in Health Workers Shows mRNA Vaccines 94% Effective | CDC Online Newsroom | CDC

"At least 115,000 health and care workers have now died from Covid-19 around the world, according to updated figures from the World Health Organization." WHO says 'at least' 115,000 health workers have now died from Covid-19 | Nursing Times
How many of these died after being vaccinated? I can find no supported data for this question so how can you make the statement that you have?

"As of August 16, 2021, more than 168 million people in the United States had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. During the same time, CDC received reports from 49 U.S. states and territories of 9,716 patients with COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough infection who were hospitalized or died."
