If you could have any food in the world right this second…..

I'm about to eat it!

Soon we'll breaking our fast with bean burritos made with refried and black beans. They will be topped with tomato, onion, and crumbly goat cheese. I usually like it pretty hot, but today, I think we'll have a mild-ish salsa. Oooh! And I bought those spicy pickled carrots! That'd be fun!

Because of @watersprite 's post just above this one, I think we shall also have Mexican hot chocolate.

I'm not craving it right now, but this was an incredible meal, that I'd like to have again some day. This is what I was given for Mother's Day Breakfast In Bed this year:

It was a treat to get fresh milled chocolate from the Mayordomo store in Oaxaca. You can give them the proportions of ingredients you want and they run it through the molina. Then you get a bag of warm, soft chocolate and it is a race to get home and portion it out before it hardens. The Mixtec nearby, craft turbine-like hand mixers of wood that one uses to prepare the chocolate for drinking. How enjoyable!

Mmm I have had it like that before, and it is so good in the middle of winter to order from a Mexican restaurant. But I was just gonna stir a pinch of cinnamon and a single dot of Tapatio into my cocoa.

All the talk about Mexican hot chocolate -- The "Cortes" chocolate bar from Puerto Rico is meant for drinking not eating.

If you can find them they're quite good--I made it and then ended up breaking off pieces of the bar over the next few days & eating it anyway.

I'd like to eat a Papa John's pizza with just mushrooms and olives on top. Not for the pizza really. I am just craving the garlic sauce and the pepperoncini's.

There is a resaurant here that makes THE best Cubano Sandwich. Pulled pork, fresh ham, cheese, carmelized onions and a sauce made with pineapple and habanero salsa. All on a thick toasted bun. It is so big my husband and I share it. It is heaven in a plastic fry basket!
