Intro

Dear Aspirin

You will have to look for the chemical formula of that name! ;)

I tried to cut & paste the poem but it lost all my formatting, so I will just send you the link. It's about Christmas, and it's very silly! :tonguewink:

Link here.

If it's not your thing I might write you something that's more to your taste! :)

Dear Callistemom,

Thank you very much for your Link to your poem! Am I right that the poem was written by you? It's very well written and indeed very funny :) But I have to admit that it was not easy for me to understand first so I'm thankful that you add a glossary for the chemical formulas since I'm really uneducated in the chemical field, and was in school extremely bad with all science and math related classes. Which is funny, not only because I'm in this regard not the stereotype Aspie, but also since my granddad was a employed chemistrist who mainly invented Pantene Pro-V (no joke). What I really like in your poem is the part with the sunburnt nose of Rudolf the reindeer and also the one with the Blu-Tack because I used Blu-Tack quite frequently in my previous works as stop motion animator. So I had really fun and enjoyed your poem :) Thank you very much!

Oh! You're a stop motion animator! My husband loves this stuff and wants to know if you've got any links for us (and we both love Wallace&Gromit!).

That poem was written long ago during a single lunchtime when the muse hit me. Typed it up and gave it to my Year 12 Biology class, who, like lots of Australian school leavers, have a high opinion of binge drinking as an alleged marker of adulthood. Later on I added a glossary when distributing it to a general audience...I'm glad you were able to enjoy it, because it's a bit nerdy in the science direction...

Wow, your granddad invented 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner? Did he get a lifetime supply? :grinning: (...would be so ironic if he was also bald...)

My husband is further over towards Aspie than me and has dyscalculia, so he totally hates mathematics... except when he reads theoretical philosophical stuff about it, like in Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid. But he's a language nutter like me and loves science, arts, movies, drama, media - all in incredibly fine detail... :innocent:

Aren't brains funny things...sort of like exotic pets and sometimes so high maintenance...

Hilarious! :) Very fun and quirky and thought-provoking.

Und sogar in Deutsch. ;)

My husband says he had no idea Tolstoy had written short stories and will have to look that up!

We have an appointment with one of our beehives and will be back later! Nice chatting to you and good to have you on board.
