Mostly the brightness. I can put up with uncomfortable temperatures, or other tactile discomfort. It is bright lights and loud sounds that give me trouble.

Yeah, I can't go outside without sunglasses unless it's completely overcast. Otherwise the odds of getting a headache quadruple! Driving at night is always tough because I can't get away from all those lights and the glare. But then I don't drive at night if I can help it, either. Being without sunglasses outside...yes, that's worse than being in jail!

As for those loud city sounds, it's a key reason why I try never to live too close to the business districts, wherever they are. And yet I continue to have real problems with low volume, low frequency sounds every day.

Living in some Seattle suburbs was interesting in that it's overcast most of the time. But the congestion there now is unreal. Worse than living in the Bay Area when it comes to traffic and all the noise it brings.

my sensory issues are mild, for an aspie. where i live, the weather mimics California, and the sunlight hurts my eyes worse than it would bother a neurotypical, but not as bad as some aspies. the noise i hate, i hate city noise, and i hate the city.
