Last album you listened to?

I hang my head in shame as I google: INXS

Not at all Christy. I'm just showing my age....gets much worse when I go on and on about the Beatles. ;)

But yeah...INXS are my favorites from Oz. Men At Work were fun, but not so talented as INXS. :)

Betti Cola by Cub, which is a band I only discovered very recently. I had to buy this one on iTunes because, unfortunately, I can't seem to find it on CD. :unhappy: The entire album is on YouTube, though:

I utterly love Chvrches! And Lauren Mayberry is utterly gorgeous and has the voice of an angel.

I'm currently listening to the second disc of the Deluxe Edition of Eat a Peach, which is excerpts from the final show they did at Fillmore East, and...wow! I don't think I've ever heard Duane Allman do finer work!

Oh, what a loss. Why did you have to ride that motorcycle, Duane? Why?!

Well, since it's, as ICM said, "Blue Monday," how about a little late-night dancing?

Heavy Mood by Tilly and the Wall

Ys by Joanna Newsom.

I had it playing through my open windows last night as I was stargazing. It mingled with the sound of birds and crickets as I watched dusk fall and the stars peep out one by one.

Stereolab - Dots and Loops
808 State - Gorgeous
Minnie Riperton - Come to my Garden

And a few others but I can't remember.

Just about to put on Side 3 of Zappa's Roxy & Elsewhere -- Have I mentioned that album here before? It's one of my favorites, of course. :)

Abaddon by Boondox

First listen since it's a fairly new record; Nothing really notable about the album came to mind, unlike his previous albums.

But hey... what's not to like about a rapping scarecrow :D

I warmed up my amp, sat down, and finally listened to Jenny Lewis's new album, The Voyager, all the way through. At first I wasn't really digging it, but once I settled into it, I really liked it! The songwriting is great, her voice is incredible, and the arrangements, which initially threw me off (I'm more used to the folk/roots rock sound of her previous solo records), were really interesting.

Today, I have been listening to the new He Is Legend album - Heavy Fruit and latest Darkest Hour - self titled. Both are pretty good, with DH making some extremely brave moves in their musical direction.
