When I hadn't had to move for a few years, things collected until there was only a trail through the work room. Then, I decided to resume my favourite profession as a hobby, which only needed a small bench space. That was the seed of getting back to major projects using the whole space over several more years. Can you please come tackle my house? The whole house is full of stuff and I'm procrastinating.

One trick that sometimes works well is to not look at a table and see how much clutter there is on it, and feel overwhelmed. Rather, look at it resisting any thought of working at it, but just imagining the surface all cleared off. You just focus on that vision until your hands start to move seemingly without effort to put things away.
Sometimes, I have to almost bulldoze a small clearing to use as a sorting area until more space opens up.
Packed up once again.
Then you'd appreciate my dining table.I understand you! Our dining room table currently is covered with: Husband's project glueing together something or other made of wood, my self-watering microgreen seed tray, vases and flower frogs from flower arrangements, Easter basket stuff for g'kids, seed packets that I need to plant, two Christmas figurines that were overlooked when I packed up Christmas decorations, a new hummingbird feeder I need to fill and hang outside, and lord knows what else.
We've been eating on the kitchen island.![]()

Better known as a "tv tray" next to my recliner. But then I never have any real guests....

Leaving my "dining room" as my computer workstation.
I agree with Mary Terry - your house looks clean and organized. I despair of ever getting mine to look like that. Then you'd appreciate my dining table.

I have a specific cleaning day haha.I love your commitment to cleaning.
I was unhappy with a choice I made, but instead of letting it ruin my day, I got out on the water. No canoes, so a tourist boat tour had to make do.
