medication

I'm less keen on mine, if that's what this turns out to be: continuous noise in my brain, unable to complete any tasks, quickly bored, procrastination, impatience, etc. LOL, I'm a real catch!
I have those symptoms too but it seems to hide the AS that is somewhere among my anxiety disorder and ADHD and only rears its ugly head occasionally. Without my worst ADHD symptoms I might suddenly start being more Aspie and I don't want to.

I don't have "continuous noise in the brain", but I have major difficulty in completing tasks.
I never get bored overall, but I do get bored of the tasks I am engaged in.
That is why I embrace the concept of "Baby Steps" so much and move from one project to another and then back again.

I compare this to school where we would have a 40-minute period of time in one subject and then change to another.

And, yes, procrastination and impatience are also a major problem I have.

I am also "a real catch".

ADHD can make work difficult, even if you enjoy your job. Sometimes your brain just shuts down at the thought of doing stuff and all you want to do is sit and do nothing, as physically doing stuff can feel like climbing a mountain. I know it isn't "autistic shutdown" though, because when I'm feeling like this I can very easily socialise. In fact often that's all I want to do at work is talk rather than work. Socialising for me takes much less effort than prioritising tasks.
It makes me look lazy but since I've been diagnosed with ADHD I know it's down to that more. Plus I have depression that comes and goes, and constant anxiety on top of it.

At my old job I refused overtime because I really couldn't be bothered to do extra shifts, but not in a selfish way. I just mentally couldn't face extra shifts and I looked forward to days off where I can come and go as I please and not have to do tasks I don't want to do.

I have the same problems.
I call it "Psychological Inertia".
Even paying bills takes a lot of effort.

I am too ADHD to keep track of my diet (except calorie-counting to lose weight but that's different) to see which food or drink makes me do what.
I really should research ADHD and ADD more.
The only time I am hyper is when I ingest caffeine.
All the other symptoms of ADHD seem to be similar to ADD.

I'm just hyper always really. The only negative effect caffeine seems to have on me is my bladder, so it's like being hyper really because I have to keep getting up for the bathroom about 10 times throughout the night and so I don't get much sleep even though I'm tired.

Caffeine is known to do that.

Similarly, I think I have ADD without the hyperactivity. The only hyperactive trait I have is that I find it much harder to concentrate and to fall asleep if I don't get sufficient amount of movement during the day. I like sport a lot too. And I keep on moving around and fidgeting. No impulsivity though and it has never been a part of my temperament.

I took antidepressants, in no way did it help anger, it made it much worse to the point that I don't think too highly of antidepressants and stimulants as well. I think they're not being prescribed carefully enough, because they can be extremely harmful. They are being promoted as welll and you can't say a bad thing about them or a crowd will jump at you that no, medication is good and you're a flat earther to say medication can be harmful and should be approached with caution.

I rather not be on any medication really, as I find it difficult to keep remembering to top up the prescription every month. I could have done with ADHD medication when I was a child though, to help with behaviour and emotional issues, but because they wouldn't diagnose me with that and married me to Asperger's instead, I wasn't entitled for ADHD medication.

Before I was surprised by how different our estimates were, and now I'm surprised by how similar they are!
It is still a lot more expensive in Oz, if what I was quoted is representative.
40 years ago, I was on bulk billing.
