Deer, OTOH, are much easier to stalk. And much more plentiful. All you have to do is walk quietly and freeze when you see one, then wait until they stop looking at you to move again.
I don't have right gear or the necessary time to put into it to be a proper wildlife photographer.
This past year I was walking right beside some deer, one of our inner city parks/bird sanctuary has some rather docile deer, I would be walking along the path with a deer literally two feet from me
In a lot of ways I think wildlife photography is quite similar to street photography, both are very much based on observation skills, and it is difficult to photograph wildlife because of how subtle different looks are, or backgrounds, etc... Just like street photography
