Name a weird smell that you like

I've always loved the chemical-sweet smell of WD-40.
I agree. My mother used to shine our appliances with something that smells like WD-40 and I loved it. I can't remember the name at the moment.
At one hospital where I worked housekeeping used to shine the elevators with something similar and I would ride up and down in them just inhaling.

I like the smell of WD-40 also, probably because I use it a lot. It is a wonderful product. Not only because it is a good lubricant and penetrant, but also because it repels water and will not conduct electricity.

My authentic response is Gasoline, Bleach and mold...... Never will admit theses in the NT world.

My response in the NT world is cut grass, lavender and thanksgiving dinner cooking..... pretty innocuous.

Old mobile homes. It's kind of a dusty, damp, warmed electrical wires, people, soap, and cooking smell. It just smells like home.

It's even better when the mobile has those prefab wood walls, where you run your finger down the little scratchy grain in between the paneling.

An old car that's sat out in the sun, undriven for a few years. That warm smell when you open the door and sit in it is so delightful.

Also, the trunks of people's cars usually smell good to me, unless it smells of mold.

Old tires too. I love the smell of old tires and inner tubes.

There's a few smells that I really like but not sure if I'd say any are unusual...

Teabags - I used to fetch one just to smell it when I was little lol.
Swimming pools I find have a lovely smell to them, the chlorine.
The air after a good thunderstorm.
Freshly baked bread.
Hay.
Damp caves.
Matches after they'd been lit.
The pages of old books.

Those are a few off the top of my head.

All right, you win. These are such delightful scents. I can smell them as you describe each one.

Garden soil just after it's been watered.

The cookies and dirt smell of children who have been playing outside in the sunshine.

Race car fuel and smoking tires. I grew up spending a lot of time at the race track. Although I hate cigarettes, the smell of smoke mixed with auto grease and fluids slams me back instantly to all the old school garages my dad took me to when I was little. Also love that old woody smell of antiques.

Old books, good quality coffee freshly brewed, mimeograph ink (not around anymore) wood smoke, freshly mowed grass, the inside of a piano. the inside of a violin case, a certain tea blend (licorice based) tangerine peelings, certain vinyl smells (new shower curtains or shower caps) wooden furniture, the smell of my skin when gently warmed by sunshine.

Back when I could smell I really liked the scent of old books to the point where I would hold them under my noise. Also fire burning since it was calming for me.
