New and confused.

Deltharnax

High Functioning and Confused
Hey there,

So I don't really know what I'm here for.
I'm still coming to terms with my diagnosis as it has only been a couple of months.

How you all doing?
Could do with making some friends that 'get it', if that makes any kind of sense?

Del

Hey Del, you came to the right place. I joined a.few months ago, and have learned a lot through interacting with other members.

I am a lot less confused today than when I joined, and I am also newly diagnosed. Hopefully, you will have a similar experience.

Hiya Del! Welcome to the forums! Lots of friendly people around here to share experiences with. :)

Are you a furry?
That's what some might call a non-diplomatic overly personal question to ask someone you've just met...
I suggest you start with something like, "Hi, welcome to the forums.." :P

Well if you're looking for friends, you're in the right place to do it. Most of us here are up for conversation, I think, if you like.

Eh, it's pretty typical for alot of us though. Many of us arent exactly good about filtering.

Yeah, I know.. Doesn't mean we can't learn.. I was a lot like that when I was his age.. I had the good fortune to have a few college classmates that were patient with me and pointed out when I was being non-diplomatic, or overly blunt.. And why it wasn't terribly appropriate.. In hindsight, it helped me a lot to get by in the working world later.. So, I was hoping my pointing it out (in hopefully a nice way) would help too. :)

Hello & welcome @Deltharnax .

FYI, I found out (a year or two ago) that the coyote (Canis latrans) is sometimes called the American jackal by zoologists.
