There certainly are differences between ASD (Aspie, high functioning autistic) and NT thinking. But I do not think one can generalize and say either is better. It seems that in certain situations a NT approach works better and in others an ASD approach. What I suspect is that a team that contains both is the strongest.

One aspect/symptom of ASD is fixed thinking. This has good and bad sides. For example some Aspies might be more relied upon to remain true to their word. But, once they decide something might be unrealistically resistant to a change/improvement.
