Ok thanks for clarification. It is possible alt reality issue, but more likely a simple mistake, on my part, at least i hope so. There is a way to get library books here, one must request them in andvance on the website, then await email notice, then present credential at the door, then they chek the books out and you leave. No more wandering the stacks.

While it's more effort to get library books with what sounds like curbside, or contactless pickup, it's still better than no books at all! :). I've had to deal with both here. The public library here took so long to open at all that I was grateful for the curbside option when it finally came!

Currently they are mostly open, and allow browsing, though they prefer you to minimize it. No sitting in chairs though, and limited computer access for those who don't have internet at home. Oh and you have to use the automated check out. (which, now that I know how to use it, is kinda cool. You don't have to check out the books one by one. It'll do the whole stack at once!)
