Raederle: is that a Patricia McKillip reference? As in, Raederle of An?

It is, although my mother read the books before I was born and Raederle is my real first name. And Phoenix, chosen by my father, is my real middle name. I am findable on youtube, facebook, etc, as Raederle Phoenix. It is nice having a unique name.

I'm a solo developer, so I develop everything, from all the concept art through to the 3D work, then also the construction, and also I'm a musician and have worked in music production over in Western Australia, where I lived for 7 years, so I will also be recording sound and music for the game too.

That's where the real test is ... Are you doing it for yourself, because you just love to do it, or for the external attention? The heart really has to be into it. I have come to learn that anything like attention, money, sales ... it's all bonuses. The real thing that matters is the process.

I relate so much to this Aaron. I make board games because I love the process. I make the fonts, the artwork, the package design, the text, the gameplay, all of it. It's time consuming, but it is time spent in flow.

For sure. You have to think, why are you doing it, and if you can imagine doing it with no external gratification, just internal, you're burning fires within your soul :)
