( If you grew up in the 80's / 90's you had one, or you knew someone who had one.)

Everything that I can remember is tinged with uncertainty. I enjoyed getting to the Farmer's Market in Windsor. I enjoyed trips to see the Canadian National Exposition and Toronto. Otherwise I was anxious about everything, especially as it sunk in that we had less of everything than anybody I knew. I remember crying myself to sleep wondering why the girls in my class were held to less rigid expectations than we boys were. I did not understand the world and lost myself trying to please everyone.

This?

Yeah, street scenes. Places can be nostalgic, not just objects.
Yep, most certainly. And I really liked the ROM. One of the first women I tried asking out was when I had a couple of tickets to the weekend laser show at the ROM planetarium. I was at a nearby diner on Bloor street when I noticed a cute woman alone, so I went up and asked her if she would like to go. No dice, but I surprised myself. And it helped my confidence that she didn't throw up on my shoes at the thought.

I still listen to 90s and early 2000s pop/dance music all the time. And Eurodance music lol.

I really hate modern pop music. Most of it is garbage lol. I stick to more “unique” genres.

And everything else from that console.

Though, “nostalgia” often tends to infer that it’s something I haven’t seen/touched in like years, when in reality the last time I played this was like 2 days ago.

Amazing, really, these games used to take a whole cartridge, and be at typical video game retail price (for the time), and they were on a finicky device that needed a lot of setup (anyone who had one probably remembers The Switch Thing that went with it, and it’s not good memories)

Yet today I have literally all of them… and all NES/SNES/Gameboy/Genesis games… and every arcade game pre 2006… and more, all on this weird little gizmo that I can hold in one hand and that weighs pretty much nothing.

I will say, the thing that I really dont miss all that much is the original controllers for this console. They’d wreck my arm now… awkward things, if I’m looking at them without the ol’ rose glasses. But I can use the Switch pro controller for them now, so that’s lovely.

MTV actually having music. Lol
It's gone downhill since they started making knockoff after knockoff "drunk immature adults behaving like middle schoolers" reality shows

I am tired of shows that celebrate people acting like their reactive child. I long for intelligent programs like Omnibus. (added) A contributor was Leonard Bernstein who had programs that dissected music from Jazz to modern atonality (with live examples). Nothing on TV now speaks to viewers as equals as this show did.

Sting-Ray style bicycles. We all had them, along with clay-wheeled skateboards, circa 1963. :)

^TMNT...

Had this bad boy. (Then I would lose it...don't know how...I just could never keep hold of things. )
I went over to a friends house one day, and he had one...I was like....woaah, You got the Technidrome! ( I think it smelled of smoke though...smokers-household.)
