Not New, Just Back... Hopefully

I've seen others post here saying that they're back after their hiatuses so I'm guessing it's fine for me to do so as well.

But I'm back after not really being around for a while for stupid reasons.
That being that I got too caught up in following politics which wasn't all that great for my mental health due to what's been going down lately.
I've been told by a few people to not pay as much attention to politics and to just relax and focus on what I enjoy.

I figured frequenting here again would be a good distraction from politics and hopefully I can stick to it and don't wind up getting caught up in all that again, as I know it hasn't been good for my mental health.

I guess there was another reason for my absence too, at least initially.. that being me getting sucked into Skyrim and spending most of my free time playing it. In hindsight I should've just stuck to doing that and not got drawn into the political drama eh?

And don't worry I'm not going to discuss politics here, I know the rules here around that. Was just stating it as a reason why I wasn't around.. because I was "Doom scrolling" political content instead of scrolling through the forums here.

Yeah. The state of alot in the world has a generally negative affect on mental health. That's exactly why I avoid the topic of politics. Plus you need a thick skin to debate, to begin with.

Skyrim isn't a bad game to burn time with. Especially with mods and all the new stuff going on.

Anyway. Glad to see you around again, @FoxLovinPat ~ <3

Yep, and I know there's nothing I can really do about it either.
I can't really become an activist because that requires social skills which I lack due to being autistic and because of years of self isolation out of fear.
Also pretty sure modern day activists use social media and I just never understood social media and still don't.. I just don't use it.

Another Skyrim sucker here. Welcome back.

Yep that's exactly what I was doing.. playing modded Skyrim.
I've actually never fully beat Skyrim due to this, because I'll find some new mod/so I want to try out and create a new playthrough around it.
That and I'm flexible in rpgs when it comes to play styles and I'll often have a playthrough for each one. I do not subscribe to the "stealth archer" meta and didn't even know it existed until I looked into Skyrim content creators. So I don't start with a playthrough and then default to "stealth archer" partway though, the only things I default to are using self healing magic regardless of build, and being a "loot goblin".

That's pretty much what I've been doing too, plus I play in god mode a fair bit, it's a huge game and fun to explore.

I've admittedly used God mode myself but I typically only use it in two instances... 1. when I'm "loot goblining" and am tired of the slow over encumbered movement speed. 2. I'm struggling with an encounter and keep dying. 3. Both, as sometimes being over encumbered makes a combat encounter impossible and I refuse to drop my loot.

Though I don't have to worry about being overburdened anymore because I installed a "bag of holding" mod, to use a D&D term. It's not actually a bag, it's a dwemer (Elder Scrolls extinct Dwarf race) cube with infinite storage space.

Yeah. I am guilty of falling into it myself. It's actually way more common than you think. As to why people do it. I really cannot say. I personally try to balance it by doing magic or weapon combat. Though I've found that magic combat is my more favored form if attack.

It just doesn't help that stealth archery is cheezy asf. Especially when you have the Stealth perk tree maxed.

I mitigated alot of those kinda issues with fast leveling mods. Then add the perk points to all the relevant skill trees I want. I end up with enough health, stamina, and, magic for whatever character build I am going for. Cheat rooms are cool for that. I liked the one on Xbox alot.

I really don't touch God mode or God items. No point to them.
