Not sure what I identify as

But that’s online. I want real friends.

The main ingredient for me at the times my life took a turn for the better was, each time, I had taken up an interest or resumed an old one that I had dropped. I don't worry much whether people are involved in it. If my pocket money stretches to it I get books on subjects I didn't get round to studying earlier (in addition to borrowing library ones and discovering informative web pages). There were eventually a few people I met at public lectures who I'm on e-mailing terms with. In some cases it was a thing people had told me off for being interested in (aeronautics), or something school chaos had shut me out of (chemistry and maths). As I've always loved words I find new aspects of those to delve into (origins and meanings). It's not silly to write poems or sayings, draw diagrams. Thus for you, depending on the pace you like to live life at, and other demands on time, you may have openings you haven't explored yet. People may come looking for you at a later stage. Friendship is best when it is indirect. People will trust someone who is into some "things" and not into "them".
