It takes a LOT for authorities in any country to take children away. I don't think you have the least to worry about. But I do understand your concerns. I have not had a paying job in nine years, many of them officially as unemplyed though in reality I can't handle 9-5. Right now I'm with my daughter in the psychiatric hospital because she has regressed to not being able to talk or walk (she's 11) and it turns out most likely the whole family is on the spectrum. In order to give her the best support the authorities will be investigating her whole background and support network. Now THAT had me worried for a bit until I checked up with other moms going through the same thing, several also on the spectrum, and they all told me there was nothing to worry about.
What you are doing is the best you can do. You 'see' your children and do your best to give them what they need and you learn. There are so many bad ways to be a parent. Yours is not one of them!
