Post a Scary Thing

Geordie

Geordie
Hmm I wonder do you have anything scary to offer here that scares off us and keeps us shivering? Brr...

I had a dream once that one of our dogs turned evil one night and it had those glowing red eyes.

The place I live is haunted with spirits as the government dug out people's graves, disturbing the peace...

And now it's the 'Ghost Month' in my hometown...

Isn't that sinsboldly or Merle Morrigan?

Saw this thread at the bottom of the page in the “similar threads” bit and I actually have been thinking lately of something scary, so here it is and we'll see if you agree:

The scariest thing I can imagine might be tame to a lot of people but it terrifies me, it’s the thought that it would be so easy and so addictive for me to become the bad guy!

Before you all run to the phones I am not cleaning my guns or sharpening a machete or anything like that! I just mean that instead of trying to be a gentleman all the time maybe I should just punch that guy that is constantly tormenting me, it might give him pause for thought, maybe I should just grab that girl and roughly kiss her while she is held captive in my firm embrace, maybe, I should start yelling at kids and teens who do the wrong thing just for the attention.

There are a lot of things I could and would do, and then… I would just be like the rest of them, one of the ones that I claim to despise and have no understanding of. It would be so easy and so fulfilling. Or would it?

To me, losing control and giving into primal nature and secret desire, that’s scary.

Mmmm, wonder if there is a way to temper a more beastly nature and the finer gentlemanly arts, might have to call my old friend Dr. Jekyll

Maybe you could write about it Gomendosi? Make up a story around a character who acts the way you described, maybe it will help?

Clowns all anything that is clown shaped, faced, anything like that freaks me out. I tried to even Read and watched IT to help me get over it as I love Stephen King but no made it worse to a point. I think Reading it was fine watching it not so much. I used to have to and still have to close my eyes when clowns appear on tv shows. Shivers...whimpers...clowns evil will eat you...sniffles

The freakiest thing I've seen is when you stare at your eyes in a mirror in a poorly lit room without blinking until the image of yourself appears to change. Do it right and you can look demonic. As a young kid, my older brother taught me this "trick", and led me to believe there was another entity in the mirror looking back at me. It's amazing what the power of suggestion can do for a 6 year old. For years I was frightened to repeat this.

The Terror

It'd been a good day. At breakfast time Boris had gotten extra bread. Today they went outside and continued building "The People's Monument for Heros of World War 4." It was back breaking work & during breaks Political soldiers would quote Slogans of the State. During dinner time he got lucky with an extra portion of fish bone soup. Which he gave to the old Veteran who wasn't doing so well.

He'd gotten 30 minutes on a computer via doing favors for Lt Grigor. All in all a good day.
Boris only had 9,276 days left in his sentence. Official State Holidays were not counted.
