Post something Weird or Random

Makes sense. I mean Sonic is virtually unstoppable and can also easily cut through steel when spinning but could easily be crushed by moving walls when standing still.

I should think whoever did that could smell melting plastic. I have a strong feeling that they also did something to the fuse/breaker to stop it blowing.

When I created my workshop I deliberately put too many power outlets in. Too many is always better than not enough.
The problem with stacked splitters is that some of them may make poor contact from the weight. As long as nothing is heating up, there's no particular issue. These days, a dozen plugs may draw less than a single lamp used to. Only things that make heat are the usual cause of blown fuses.

I didn’t want to keep spamming the photo threads, but I happened to get a picture where you can really see that my eyes are bright green.

I’ve put on a lot of makeup in other pictures I’ve posted, but this is all I wear on a normal day. Just mascara and lip gloss. I’m not the biggest fan of makeup on myself.

^^ You're a very attractive lady. And you posted some full body shots before, you have no need whatsoever to feel ashamed of that body.

Yes, I'm far too old, the wrong gender, and on the other side of the planet. I always avoided women that wore too much makeup, it suggests low self esteem.

Even so, I appreciate the compliments :)

I only wear makeup to have fun with colors for certain outfits. I really don't like how it looks on me, especially not eyeliner because I have big eyes as is.
I like nude-toned lip gloss, mascara, and if I'm feeling especially confident I might try a nude eye shadow or a highlight. But that's about as far as I'll go. I also don't like covering up my freckles.

Some women are actually really talented at makeup and can do some pretty cool designs, but I feel like it just makes me look like a toddler who got into her mother's cosmetic bag lol

The lesson of hope.

Warning: This story is about experimentation on animals and involves cruelty, but it is a valuable lesson.

Back when I was growing up we didn’t have mobile phones and internet, we didn’t even have computers. TV stations all shut down at 11:30 pm, except for the government run ABC. During the wee hours of the morning they played medical and scientific documentaries for uni students and if I couldn’t sleep I’d watch them.

One of them left a lasting impression on me, it was called The Lesson Of Hope.

They had two aquariums full of water, and they dropped a rat in to each aquarium. After 15 minutes they put a small block of wood in one of the aquariums, the rat crawled on to it and had a little rest. After 5 minutes of rest they removed the block of wood and never returned it.

The rat in the first tank that didn’t get a rest died in 40 minutes. The rat that got a rest on a block of wood for 5 minutes took more than 36 hours to die.

They said that the reason for such a big difference in the amount of time is because the second rat had Hope, it knew another block of wood would come along.

Your eyes look the same color as mine. Some people call them blue or grey, depending on the light, I guess. But, they're green, d*** it!

There are whole cultures that don't distinguish green from blue at all. I thought the only options in human eyes were blue and brown until I was corrected by an unhappy, green-eyed girlfriend.

I have seen both of these before lol, I think it was in a Youtube video about weird corporate training videos.

I have worked at some places that had some really strange training videos. There was one about safety evacuations which featured an elderly man coming into the store firing a shotgun.
