The singer died this week, perhaps part of your subconscious picked up on that.

It's not as daggy a song as a lot of people think, go through the lyrics more carefully, it's a good song.

@Outdated, I have a random question, I'm watching Aussie Gold Hunters on tv. When they find a big nugget they shout "what a rippah, mate!!". Then they fight off a deadly snake and keep digging. I think they are saying "rippah" or "ripper". Sounds like rippah. Is that Aussie slang for something that's great?

You deleted your next post, but you're probably right. Our most famous national hero was a murderous thug that committed armed robberies and was hung for his troubles. And one of our famous folk songs is about a sheep stealing vagrant that committed suicide.

So Jack the ripper might have had a better life here.
