iPhones and a lot of highly engineered and high quality things are made in China.
I know, I just think the way they write English is hilarious. A few months ago a friend of mine and I found a penis-enlargement product on eBay supposedly made of leech oil and very clearly a Chinese product because of the broken English used in the description and instructions for use. We laughed so hard at the instructions, I was actually in pain when we finally calmed down.
 
Now they just need to learn to translate and proofread
I think they often make those kinds of mistakes as the way the Chinese languages work, the words are more descriptive than western languages such as English. If you think a bit laterally when reading the translations you kinda realise how it could happen. I'm sure an expert could explain it better than I just did.

Of course other times they just use the wrong (but similar) word :smilecat:
