Random Headaches?

I really don't know if this has anything to do with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, but let's see.

Does anyone here just get random headaches? Your head starts to throb spontaneously even when you're just sitting down or not doing anything? Or maybe you get dizzy spells from just standing up? These happen to me all the time, and sometimes my vision gets all disoriented for a minute while my head hurts. These only last a few seconds, but they are really annoying! I get them throughout the week. Maybe it's just because of blood or adrenaline rushes... it seems a bit weird to me though, I've got low blood pressure and I lack energy and enthusiasm most of the time (a lot of people think I have Depression because of this...). So I don't really know why I experience this so frequently.

i feel like that but people tell me its blood pressure i dont like it when i get dizzy spells it makes me want to fall over . do you think it could be stress or an anxiety thing i dont no

or is it part of being aspergers

I'm not sure if it's Asperger's or just me... I don't think it's part of Autism, just another random thing that happens I guess.

I got headaaches all througout my younger days for no apparent reason. Now, I don't get so much of an ache as a... Pressure, sometimes.

For some reason, it seems to align to extruded ridges on my skull.

I can't really remember when I last got a headache; must've been when I last didn't eat for a whole day, but I do get dizzy spells at the most random of times though I think that's because of my heart condition rather than Autism.

Random headaches could be caused by any number of additives in food stuffs, also how often you use the loo could be a factor (ewww right), stress, tension in the shoulders, neck pain, any previous head trauma could also be recurring in the form of a headache or particular lighting combinations even, it might even be related to breathing. The doctor could simply tell you it may be growing pains LOL [yes, that actually happens]

It seems to me that if the headaches happen often enough you should go to a doctor if only to rule things out and narrow down the causes, but if truth be told, the human body is a complex organism that sometimes does cruel stuff to its owner for no apparent reason and no amount of testing can determine that reason, oh, and I didn't know this until recently but apparently, guilt can cause headaches too. Go figure ; ]

I often get migraines and I have been told that sometimes due to the stress of trying to socialize we can get headaches. Or at least that is what i was told. I get them when I am very stressed and been in too long a social situation where I am uncomfortable.

I get migraines when I have to be in a social situation. I get so stressed just thinking about it that I get a migraine and therefore can't participate in the social situation. I know that my mom thinks I'm faking a headache to get out of the situation, but she's wrong.

From my readings, headaches might be the single most difficult physiological symptom to diagnose and treat. The phrase I encounter most is "non-specific ailments"...which I take to mean that there are so many potential causes that it is almost impossible to effectively narrow it down, and (in the more minor cases, which I know is not relevant to this thread) can have a certain psychosomatic element as well. I do not suffer chronic migraines...and THANK GOODNESS! because it seems like a miserable ailment (my brother suffers from them and we do not know why). The few times I get headaches are mostly brought on by excessive stimming (yes, I have been known to bang my head repeatedly against walls)...I do not even usually get them with alcohol-induced hangovers.

This makes treatment of chronic headaches a real b**ch. it seems unlikely (to me) that they would stem directly from ASD disorders but it seems plausible that they could be an indirect result due to the stresses (social anxiety et al) that inevitably accompany the condition.

I believe, from my own experience, that the headaches and dizziness might be from two different causes. When my weight gets really low I end up with low blood pressure which, in me, causes the dizziness and vision change. The headaches can be from stress or eye strain depending on where the headache is located and how intense the pain is. I also get migraines which is a very different kind of headache that starts with seeing an aura with my right eye, followed by excrutiating pain and nausea. I was told to keep a record of when I had a headache, where was the pain situated, and anything that might have caused it. For me, the cause can be lack of sleep, stress, sudden weather changes and eye strain, as well as some foods. A diary of this type might give you a better idea of what triggers your headache. Good luck!

Oooh I didn't know what those were called but I get cluster headaches all the time. Right behind my eye. Those are the WORST. I'm also diagnosed with migraines and have to take medication for them. I used to miss a lot of work.

My anxiety has always manifested itself in physical ailments (yay!) and headaches is among those issues. Sometimes migraines, sometimes sinus headaches. I think it's often due to sensory overload, lack of sleep, and maybe allergies as well. I saw a doctor and had an MRI when the migraines were particularly bad though that was a while ago.

I get dizzy if I'm having a panic attack or most recently, I suffered from vitamin deficiencies. I've always had low energy. I don't know if that's drain from the sensory stuff or my awful child-like diet. Possibly both.

I'd really recommend discussing this stuff with your doctor to cover your bases.
