Raspberry Pi and or Python

I currently have one of mine hooked up to a TV at my house so that I can run a VNC client on it and control computers at school with it and have it display on my TV. I am also running the x11vnc server on the pi so that I can control it from anywhere using the mouse and keyboard on my laptop. I created a program that displays a live feed of incoming radio data from my school's interferometer, but it only runs on the school computers and sucks with X11 forwarding. The VNC server on my school plus my raspberry pi lets me broadcast the feed pretty much anywhere.

!!

I have used a bit of python and looked at ruby. I decided to bite the bullet and got to grips with apples oop, and for a happy time read oodles about it. I understand the concepts. For me, that means Ive a good idea how to do what I want, I just need time playing with it to get faster and swisher. But, I just haven't the time at the moment. Im setting up my music business, which means programming and photography are on hold at the moment.

I love the ldea behind raspberry pi, and want to play! :Dy

EDIT:- Ive created a group for it!
How do I find said group. Haven't run across groups here yet.

That might've been a reference to an older feature, but it's possible to make private chat groups here if that helps! I'd love to make a programming / coding one if there were enough people who wanted to be a part of it!

Edit: here it is, if anyone wants to join up

Anybody feel that 'Raspberry Pi' draws parallels to old-school computing examples important in 2023?

What old-school computing examples are important in 2023?
'Raspberry Pi' can feel "old-school" - esp. the pre Internet years esp. 1980s, 1970s.

What's old is new again - that is a growing-interest in some examples of retro TECH.

Ah, ok. Yes, it is a lot like those years. GPIO seems more straightforward than those days trying to decode port addresses of a Z80 based machine. It was fun creating a land-line telephone robo dialer for the sole purpose of making a one time one-way recorded call to a friend living 5 time zones away to give him my current phone number and address. With a Raspberry Pi, it would be much easier, and it could record a reply. Of course, nowadays a text would to the job
