Reviews are in for Solo: A Star Wars Story, and they're not good!

Actually, ANH came out in '77 and Empire Strikes Back in '79, only a 2 year gap apart from when Jedi came out in ''83.

"Star Wars A New Hope" was released May 25, 1977.
"The Empire Strikes Back" was released May 21, 1980.

Hmm, so that Han Solo thing comes out 41 years almost to the day from ANH's release> Interesting.

But of course, back in the late 70's the Internet hadn't been invented yet so even if it had turned out to not be the classic it was, there was no medium to complain about it.

Just hundreds of known film critics in both newspapers and television. Long before the Internet existed. ;)

Always loved Roger Ebert's uptake on film, and disliked both Gene Siskel and Judith Crist. There were many others as well...but those were always the ones that stood out to me going back many years ago.

Despite common perceptions, civilization managed to survive and be relatively informed without the Internet. :p

Honestly, I checked out the moment they started adding new movies to the original trilogy. Jar Jar Binks killed the franchise for me and made me not want to watch another Star Wars movie ever.

At least lucas admitted that jar jar was a mistake.
When i was a kid i didnt hate jar jar but now i find him annoying. Mostly on the 1rst episode anyway.

Honestly i always had more problem with chewbacca in the original trilogie.

I could see this coming a mile away the first time I found out Disney bought lucasfilm,I knew by the way Disney likes to pump out movies that they were going to milk Star Wars dry,I thought it would take longer but it’s already happening,I love both the original and prequel trilogies and even with my own doubts about Disney I still gave them a chance, but after the last Jedi I was very dissapointed with how they treated Luke skywalker and I felt like everything that jj Abrams was supposedly building up to it was tossed away, but the solo movie while I don’t have high hopes for it is definitely a sign that Star Wars could be losing steam, like others have said the thing that made Star Wars special was the fact they didn’t release too many movies in a short time frame and there was at least a few years between them,I have also heard rumours whether they are true or not that Disney is getting rid of the trilogy concept all together and if that is true episode 9 may be the official end to that saga, but unfortunately I do see the cracks appearing and it’s goung interesting to see the audience reaction to solo and also how it performs.

Keep in mind they were only there to see the tag team cage match with Freddy Kruger & alien vs preditor and Jason

Hey, at least those matches have some balance. I mean, imagine if Freddy and Jason had to square off against the other two opponents? Ouch.
