Riddles

how is this connected to piano?
Piano Forte, it's full name, means almost literally "quiet loud"!
I believe this was following on from the harpsicord which could only pluck a string so never varied the volume, the newer piano responds to how hard or soft the keys are hit, hence the name piano forte, later shortened to piano! 🙂

Four comes before three and also before thee.
And in me the debate is settled once for all that the chicken was first.
What am I ?

You said "But my German is very bad!"
I am assuming the later part that was written in English is a joke of some sort?

You're not 'egg'ing us on are you?
Or is that no yolk[sic]?

Well, that was VERY complimentary to call it a joke! 😊

My german is indeed atrocious! Which considering my german ancestry and the fact both parents were tri-lingual including german, is somewhat lacking, but I've always had trouble with any language that a computer doesn't natively understand.

Operation Paperclip - German speaking Nazi scientists spirited away to the U.S. avoiding coming anywhere near Nuremberg.
My avatar, Dr Strangelove is a caricature of those scientists.
Yes, it was not a very funny joke!

Where is my answer !?

You didn't indicate my reply about eggs was wrong, though I assume it was.
I didn't really understand what you were trying to say or ask. The chicken mentioned in the riddle was a reference to the old "which came first the chicken or the egg" question if that is what you are asking.

Read every letter carefully.

Certainly was!

Is English not your first language? Am I being too obscure in my use of words?

English is my first language; nevertheless, I do sometimes have trouble figuring out what some of your sentences are saying.

When the words are in alphabetical order, the word "four" comes before the words "three" and "thee." And the word chicken comes before the word egg too alphabetically, yes.

You are on the right trail.

In that line of your riddle, four comes before those two word as well.
