Riddles

If no one else tries to guess, I suppose I shall give the answer later today.

The answer is a pike (a type of fish).

It sounds like it is sharp due to sharing it's name with a type of medieval spear as well as a sharp point at the end of an item in general. The S and the C refer to it's swim patterns. It's brain is small. It spends it's time in a river.

Am I correct in assuming that everyone has lost interest in this thread?

@FayetheAspie, you won. (Sorry, I had other tasks to attend to, and couldn’t really engage with your last riddle, but it was a good one.) You can post another, or ask someone else. Always interested in riddles. @Cutesie hasn’t given us one in a while.

Sometimes I am a ladder; othertimes a chair.
In winter, a part of me is not even there.
I grow up and down
And yet broader around.
What am I ?

@1ForAll 🏆
Close enough. A tree in general because the limbs can be climbed (used as a ladder)to reach something higher up. Squirrels birds and occasional humans as well sit on tree limbs like a chair. It grows up, it's roots grow down and it grows still wider around.

I never thought of that, a tree being used as a ladder and chair in that context. That makes sense. I will think of another riddle soon.

I am left open typical nights,
and throughout then most days,
I am closed when things are not right
and for resting and May...days.
So, turn west and on I will go.
Turn east, it will be quieter I know.

What am I?
