The name is Anthony, but I'm ok with Tony. I joined a few months ago but I got anxious whenever I'd pick up my phone, so I deleted the app…great start, right?
Anyway, I've been thinking about my history with having AS and I decided to work past the anxiety and just indulge in the autism community.
For the record, I don't necessarily take pride in having AS, but I'm not ashamed either, I'd go with saying I'm chaotically neutral on the subject; however that might be up for change……
I'm a musical guy; I play a variety of instruments plus I sing a little; my SIA is animals; if I've heard about a species, there's a chance I'll know something about it

Looking forward to the conversation!

(Btw I apologize if this late-night post somehow inconveniences someone somewhere, I'm a night-owl…)

Hi tony, and welcome :)

There are members on the forum from a range of countries so it will have been daytime for someone when you posted. What I'm trying to say is, post at whatever time suits you, it's not going to inconvenience anyone else

Welcome aboard. :)
Best wishes.

If you like the aurora borealis, then here's something else you might like; there's this cave in New Zealand that's filled with thousands upon thousands of glow worms, it's like the night sky caught in the middle of the day…

Hi & Welcome,
There are people from all over the world here, so even if you are on late your time, its early down under etc.

Thanks for letting us know. I am now planning on going to New Zealand.

Welcome to the forum

Hey,

I'm Andrew from Sydney Australia and I recently found out that I'm an aspie.

I've wondered why people labelled me weird for decades.

I'm 50 but look a lot younger and act even younger than that.

Now I know why I'm not "normal" I find that I am able to be a lot more relaxed and comfortable in my own skin.

I still freak out with some people though.

It's funny that I am now an IT Project Manager dealing with people all the time and loving it.

I think forcing myself to get out there and learn how to mix with people has really paid off for me.

Life is much much more enjoyable now than ever before.

My great wife and partner has had a lot to do with that too.

I am working through getting too attached to people I am attracted to (men or women - not like that; just in a plutonic way).

I scare people off when I let my guard down.

Trying hard to not scare anyone off now.

Really enjoying that so many people are open and honest and caring for each other and for too me here n this blind community.

This site/forum is a god send to me.

Thank you all for being so nice and friendly to me.

Peace.
