Khoi Khoi indeed! I love the way you use the chi and not the kappa. There is a DEFINITE Kh sound, not just a k. Good ear, Fridge!
I am still torn about learning something for nothing. I have a You Tube channel which I used at first just for a diary of what I was reading, but opened them up. I don't have a lot of followers, but it did stress me out and change the way I read stuff. It helped me master stuff, indeed, but it also was stressful.
I don't post much anymore there, and it does help. But it bothers me that it can all be gone in a poof. But that is how it is. One knock on head, a little dementia (enough to know) and poof. Phoif phoif.
It makes me wonder why I am doing it, but I can't NOT do it. I can't stand watching TV and crap like that. My roomie is now watching a show on Cathedrals on Nova and it's all dramatic music and low, dramatic speakers.....no thanks.
So back to Diodorus Siculus on Egypt. Never gets boring.
Maybe it's just for the current joy of it, but DANG, it seems quite heavy to say You can only be happy reading Herodotus and you HAVE TO DO IT IN GREEK. But if my brain is not tingling I can't exhaust it and I am not just not happy but VERY FRIGGIN UNHAPPY.
I know most of us on here totally get this.
Truly, I wonder if I would be happier if I could watch the ball game.
Would you rather be Socrates dissatisfied or a pig satisfied? Why can't you be Socrates satisfied? Who wrote these rules?????
