Sleeping Problems

I can relate to this. I can get up in the morning thou when I have to go to work. I have had trouble for as long as I can remember. Only falling asleep when I can't keep my eyes open anymore. When I try to sleep when not exhausted my mind just jumps everywhere. Plus the 'fear' of losing control and falling asleep does not help either I guess. Wish I could give you some pointers. But sadly I can't. Hope someone else around here can.

Not sure if I’m the only one experiencing this or not sure if this is being caused by autism. Fact if I can’t sleep, nor do I have a strong desire to do so

I tried a lot of methods, none worked. I mean some worked temporarily but it wasn’t long before I reverted back to my old habits

Anyways I don’t like sleeping and tend to stay up late, and never waking up in the morning
Then you like to sleep in the morning but hate falling asleep.

agreed. Plus sleep is the cousin of death, that’s what Nas said

I worry I might never wake up the next day, that’s why I try to stay up

That is pretty close to how I feel actually. I fear dying feels very much the same way. You are there and you lose control, and you don`t even notice you have lost control until you wake up the next morning.
It is kind of ironic thou. Because the lack of sleep and the increased stress this causes we are way more likely to die sooner.

I stay up all night and sleep in the mornings also.
It just seems to be the way my body works.
Nothing new either.

I had to get up early today, 6:30 am, (early for me) to take my house companion to his chemo day.
I tried going to sleep much earlier last night than usual and I couldn't sleep.
I finally started getting sleepy about the time I had to get up.

I had a huge insomnia problem. I recently had to address it. I had to take medication for it because I was not getting any sleep at all. I didn’t realize my insomnia was as bad as I thought it was till I talked about it with a health physician. Before taking medicine I would be cranky and irritated all the time because I would not get any sleep. I feel so much better now because I actually get the right amount of sleep, which has caused me to be productive and happier.

Guilty as charged. I've been waking up prematurely around 4 to 5 am almost every day for months.

With it remaining a struggle to stay in bed until 7am.

I need advice, a spider bite me on the back of my neck, it was creepy looking and I'd found some of these around the house before.
We moved here before lockdown, and this area has about 3 cemeteries and I'd walk back with groceries during lockdown and I'd cross road away from Cemetary.
So being old house the sink was leaking water and I removed the shelf to replace it when I discovered where these spiders were coming from.
My Mom said the house is haunted and she heard sounds from upstairs attique, but I don't understand these things, it scares me and I can't cancel my lease, Nd I can't afford to move....which is what I want to do.
For my sleep I just stay awake and suffer the next day, I do this for about 3 days as I believe in homeopath y.
I heard a knocking on my door late one night and no one was there. Now I wake up in the night to check the house is locked and found one old windows came off old hinge. Had to have whole wooden frame fixed.

I hope your house companion gets well ♥️ Great that you take care of him/her!

I have had problems with sleeping many times. It's hell. But in the past few years I have had so much to do during the day that I'm exhausted when the night comes. So I sleep like a drunk baby because I'm so exhausted. Wearing yourself out works well, I just want to sleep when I'm worn out.

The house is not haunted, don't worry about that. If it had been haunted, you would have known a long time ago. You have lived there for a while, right? If ghosts haven't done anything by now, they won't do anything to you. It's just the building making sounds, buildings always make some sounds.

That's what I thought in the beginning, the sound I heard was old window coming off hinges. My Mom came to stay in beginning and she bought the boys pork ribs to barbeque and the meat wouldn't cook and it was smelling so I got upset and then they said meat tasted strange but not off. I've never eaten pork and none of us do so I couldn't test it.
She said there was signals being sent across and I moved here as rent is so cheap for such big house but I was worried with her sanity for a while but I might have moved to a cooky town and they are cannibals but as I'm vegetarian I didn't know this.
I closed the attique and put a lock on it just to be safe. There's this old church but symbols are not 'normal' I've never seen this on a church in my whole life!!!
Everything in this old house has gone wrong since we moved here, the neighbours chimney caught on fire, then wind blew tree on roof of house down road. Then the water switches off and it takes long to turn on and water comes out brown.
I know my Mom eventually went senile but I'm starting to think she was at least right that I took a wrong turn.

I do think there are simple explanations for all those things. I live alone in a house too, it's nothing to be afraid of. Old houses have sounds and problems, it's very normal.

Lol, tx. Maybe the town was haunted from long ago, I'm paranoid since lockdown. Maybe the people don't agree with me and I noticed many disabled adults and the old school is also in creepy old building. A pipe in yard burst which may been outside toilet long ago, had a bad dream after that,
We going to move as soon as I can escape the lease. I don't think it's cooky maybe it was just something in past.

I keep thinking everything will come right,

I'm sorry if that's misunderstood, they treat disabled people as badly as in the past, I'm also tired of prejudice against my son at school and keep trying to suggest we leave, so I'm going to do just that, leave.
I believe in farm yard for people to go be productive and this attitude is bringing me down. Don't want to be demotivated and deprssssed

Bug bomb the place.

Those spiders would creep me out.
I probably couldn't sleep knowing they were all around.
Yes, bug bombs usually work if they aren't like huge tropical spiders.

If you can't be comfortable in the surroundings you describe, then I would definitely
move if at all possible.
I won't judge on ghosts.

I hate spiders! I once had a weird experience, I won't go into much detail, but the spiders weren't really there, I feel pretty sure of that.

The outcome is that, while I don't like them, I can ignore most house spiders.

We went to visit the local zoo here in Switzerland. We were looking for the big cats (because I love kitties!) and to get there we had to pass through this green house kind of building. It has cactus and other exotic plants in there so I thought that's all it was. I was looking for the lions, and began to look through a huge glass window. I heard someone say "oh so they are just roaming free...".

At this very moment I had the sensation of a spiders web on my nose and moved back quickly when I looked to my right. Oh boy was there a huge goddam spider almost as big as my hand! Yikes! It looked like it was in the process of eating something rather large too. I noped out of there quickly! Checking all the way that I hadn't brought any of its friends with me!

I don’t know if I’m the one here who has an uneven sleep schedule

I eat two meals a day, sometimes a late night meal. Being a late night owl, I have a difficult time waking up

Tried adjusting my sleep schedule to better accommodate everything, didn’t work and won’t work

Can’t sleep before 12 and I usually never wake up before 10, not naturally at least

It’s not a problem, it’s just something I want to share
