I remember being at Bishop museum /Honolulu and looking at ancient smaller very strange tools in museum display and having a distinct very strong bad feeling about them. They had no explanation what they were used for. But l knew. Later they were removed never to appear again.
I'll just bet you notice it now though....wahaha!NO, not really....
Spontaneous combustion is real. A stack of old shop rags covered in oil can spontaneously combust.Guess this is better then spontaneous combustion that has been recorded happening to people. Usually smokers though.

Those hay bales spontaneously combusted with me and the kids inside the house. By the time I hustled the kids out the back door the house was on fire.
I actually went back into the house to call the fire department because the neighbors house was too far away. Luckily the phone was still working. That was scary!
and I figured most people on this forum wouldn't believe in that kind of thing.
That hall has strange energy.
I have too many weird stories of my own and of my family to share...well, I could, but I don't know if I want to focus on all of that - and I figured most people on this forum wouldn't believe in that kind of thing. In any case, I wish I could be one of those people who never have anything happen and therefore can scoff at everyone else's stories.
Energies are weird.
I do sometimes wonder, "why us?" I kept my most profound experiences to myself for twenty years. It was the advent of the Internet that allowed me to realize that I wasn't alone.
Cannibalism is the belief you are what you eat, and it tends to serve up only the finest examples of character traits one would like to embody, literally. In other words, if someone wants to eat you - it's at least a huge compliment
This honorific is on full display at any catholic communion. They consume it in the belief the bread has been transmogrified into Christ's flesh and the wine His blood
I go with what my faith tradition teaches as well - which on the one hand is probably quite popular, on the other hand unpopular - on the one hand, most phenomenon actually have natural explanations or are a figment of the imagination, or from a psychological/neurological issue. On the other the hand, the rest is mostly demonic activity, sometimes masquerading as ghosts of people who have passed on.Still more inclined to believe natural explanation. Given how many unknowns there are to Earth's operating system. Not to mention the various energies and unseen matter working around us.
Not a huge believer in ghosts. Have done my research for many years. Doesn't line up. Aside from what the Bible says. Personal experiences with that.
I once visited Myrtles Plantation in Louisiana, which is said to be haunted. I took a bunch of pictures with my camera - this was way before digital cameras. The photos were not blurry or anything - they simply just never showed up among my developed photos - the exterior of Myrtles was there, but not the interior. I don't normally go hunting around for that kind of stuff, I was just touring the plantations in Louisiana to learn more about the history."Psychometry"
I watched a psychic I know personally physically touch a number of personal items from the Firehouse Museum in Virginia City Nevada and proceed to tell us all kinds of details about the firemen who once owned them.
I also recall an experience closer to yours in visiting Buckland Station in Nevada and being drawn to room upstairs. The same psychic who was with our group told us of how a very sick child lived in that room and eventually died there. Sad and spooky. I have no idea what drew me to this room, though I even took a photo of the door when I had not even gone upstairs yet to investigate.

I know you said that you put your hobby supplies in there? Maybe you could just redecorate that space to look like Harry Potter's under the stairs room? Yes, weird and small, but oddly cozy - fill it with a bunch of friendly things, like books? Turn it into a mini library? Put some wallpaper up? Spaces really affect me - I wouldn't rest until I changed that little space. You might be surprised.
As you hang out on the forum more, you'll likely spot that there's definitely a few of us that have had unusual experiences, so to speak, myself included.
Though I can understand any reluctance to discuss it.
A line I've heard is "nobody believes in the paranormal until it happens to them", which I rather think is quite accurate at this point.
It's got a strange something, alright. Wish I knew quite what it was, but it's indeed strange.
I grew up hearing these kinds of stories in my family - and some believed, others laughed or didn't care. That culture is more ancient, and there are just far more happenings? It is interesting to hear that you felt alone in all of this until the internet. Also...interesting that you are brave enough to go investigating it! I want nothing to do with it - gives me goosebumps, gives me anxiety if it gets on my mind. I think this might be cultural, too! No one in my family seeks out these things, we try to get away. And yet, of course, it's all fascinating - it's like living with a lion outside the door. I would rather just focus on my life, but...it's hard to not think about the lion at the door when you once in a while hear a scratch.A few of us in the community can relate. Those of us who never had the luxury to "believe" in such things, but rather were simply "eye witnesses" to unsolicited paranormal events we cannot so easily dismiss- or share.
I do sometimes wonder, "why us?" I kept my most profound experiences to myself for twenty years. It was the advent of the Internet that allowed me to realize that I wasn't alone.
When I look at that space - well, this won't help people outside of my faith tradition, but the first thing we would do for any house, strange energy or not, is have a priest bless the house. If any strange paranormal phenomena came about, we would have an exorcism, or more commonly, just use prayer and holy water. I do know of stories where this has helped. The question in my mind is, what does one do with this energy?
Well, I can think of some things, believed by some, disbelieved by others, and whatnot, but I'm kinda curious as to what some of you think.
Regardless of whatever form "energy" takes, as your own knowledge goes.
Same here.
Well, even with the internet... tended to keep to myself.
Though, eventually there's a sort of tipping point, where stuff is getting a tad too weird and it's time to seek assistance to learn about it... I tend to find that to be the tough part. Particularly when dealing with weird subjects like all this stuff.
