Strange Christmas gifts you want this year

I don't know what it's called, but it looks sort of like a windmill mixed with a salad spinner. It's great big and it's for winding yarn into balls. I see them at yarn stores, and although it's a luxury, not a need, it would be great to own one. But like I said, totally unnecessary.

C clamps would be quite handy right now. Like 3 or 4 inches i think.

A socket set and a set of wrenches. New (non dollar tree) screwdrivers that reliably fit into the screws without jumping out repeatedly. And a box for my tools.

Heddle sticks that fit into my tapestry loom. Like four or more of them probably.

Yarn in nature colors. Precut quilt squares 6x6. Servants to work on the world's largest granny square blanket that my daughter and I are making.

But the BIG BIG wish, is for my father to recover from his brain injuries. I want my daddy. He's here. And I adore it when we spend time together. But I miss him. And I'm trying not to cry right now.

LOL...yeah. Things I need, rather than what I might "want".

Like a new skillet. LOL, people get dissed at Christmas for choosing such gifts, but I could sure use one!

Along with new linens for my bed. All necessities I'll have to buy in the upcoming new year.

YES a new skillet! I have these old aluminum ones that are thinner than foil.

A set of food grade buckets with lids that go from 2 - 5 gallons. (Think soy sauce tubs from Chinese Restaurants)

I always manage to eventually mangle the non-stick laminate of them that is so important. My bad...:(

Cast iron is best. Buy one with a lid. They're indestructible, non-stick, and won't poison you with strange chemicals, but you do have to keep them seasoned. I don't even own a non-stick laminated skillet.

One of my coworkers got another coworker a gag gift that was a humorous cookbook last year for a secret Santa event (I’m not saying the name of it as it’s a sexual innuendo).

I kinda want a tiny purple or teal shopping cart to store my jewelry in.

This is sad, but I want a new trash can. I know some people can’t relate to wanting a trash can lol. I just want one because I’m always crafting and using the trash can. I feel silly.:p
I don't think that's silly. If someone wanted something like that for Christmas and I didn't know what else to get them then that would be a good gift idea.

?? Why would you feel silly or sad to want something that you use for doing something that brings you joy?
Sounds perfectly logical to me.

The gift that would satisfy my life's desire would be TIME! I wish for free time to work on my life's passion. Something I seem to never get.

Most likely, the gifts I value are simple, inexpensive, and not over-advertised, or not advertised at all.

Those useful, novel, or even humorous gifts that have value year-round!

Whirled peas. (Say it out loud)

And solder, heat sink compound, various batteries.

Love it!

Solder, heat sink compound and batteries... Oh yes, now that's what I'm talking about!

Not so much strange as unusual/rare these days, but I'd be quite happy if I got more than two Christmas cards this year. Come to think of it, I don't think I've gotten one since COVID.

Daniel Craig, converted to homosexuality, tied up on my bed with a pretty Christmas bow.

Noise cancelling headphones. I finally bit the bullet and decided to buy something I need.
I just thought I should give an update. I've been wearing my new headphones for the last couple of days now and I'm really glad I bought them. They bring instant peace and quiet. Seriously good noise cancellation. They're a little heavier than I expected them to be but not uncomfortable.
