Substitute For Walking Cane

When no walking Cane is readily available, the horses' poop scoop is a handy substitute for my balancing routines.

Shovels make the best walking sticks!

Shovels have good thick handles and the blade of the shovel scoop kind of "chunks" into the ground with each step to help support your body, preventing slips or falls on uneven ground.

I walk with a hunters cane so I can sit when I tire out.

Made me wonder how the performance of Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle might have been when they danced on stage with pooper-scoopers instead of walking canes, putting on the ritz.

Might have drawn a real monster crowd....but we'll never know.

I posted photos where I was using a real cane somewhere on the forum before. The poop scoop was the primary tool that I actually learned with though. At my retail job I used to actually balance the tip end of an artificial flower on my hand when I would need to return one to the aisle it belonged on. There was a certain size of ink pen display box that made a perfect fit as a hat when turned upside down leaving a flat top where a lighter weight box could be easily balanced on top of my head. I would sometimes wear the upside down display box hat on my head as I stocked freight. It seemed to amuse some people which made me happy.

Here is me briefly balancing a feather to kind of imitate something I would have done with the artificial flowers. The flowers were actually a lot easier to balance though.
