Substitutes For Angelina Ballerina

Angelina Ballerina is not a good role model for kids. In almost every episode, she runs to her room crying and throwing stuff around when she doesn't get her way, like for instance during 'Miss Lily Is Leaving' she threw a massive tantrum over Miss Lily leaving the ballet class and threw the picture she had of her and Miss Lily against the wall. Another example was when she got jealous of her baby sister and started throwing things around her room crying and shouting in an aggressive tantrum. So, what kind, gentle, quiet, low stimulating things can you recommend I watch in place of Angelina? 'Cause I also get it stuck in my head most of the time.

I've got you on this one. All of these shows teach good morals. They are loved by adults and children.

*Anne of Green Gables. This is one of my favorite series for the cartoon and the books. She was an orphan adopted by an elderly woman and her brother. They expected a boy to help with chores, but got a girl, full of imagination with a big heart. You will fall in love with Anne. More than any other cartoon on this list, I suggest Anne of Green Gables.

* Jane and the Dragon. It is the tale of a girl who trains to be a knight in a patriarchal society. I adore this series. It is also based on a children's book. If you watch the series from episode one, it actually tells a tale, each episode building on the last. It is very exciting, and relatable to what it is like to be tween aged and discovering who you are and what wonderful things you can be capable of. It is a story of diversity and tolerance, as well as physical endurance, honor, chivalry, and above all else, hope.

* Care Bears (The original series) is a wonderful show. Filled with life lessons and lots of adventure. It helps children to learn to live with one another, and to express their feelings, and work through trauma.

* Madeline is absolutely wonderful. It starts with the familiar "In an old house in Paris, all covered in vines, lived twelve little girls in two straight lines. The youngest one was Madeline." It is the story of a little girl in Paris living in a girl's school where she has adventures and learns to live in a community. It's based on the children's book series:

* Swiss Family Robinson. It is a wonderful show full of life lessons and great adventures of a family thriving no matter what adversity comes. It is so wholesome.

* Pippi Longstocking. Pippi is a wild, silly, adventurous girl. But she does not tantrum. In every situation she remains optimistic. The episodes are delightful and silly. And there's always a lesson in each episode.

I'd also suggest Babar. That's a lovely cartoon series based on a children's book (once again). Do you see a pattern here? In the series, Babar is the young prince of the jungle. After his mother is killed by hunters, he flees to the city, where he's adopted, raised and taught like a human boy. He makes human friends and has adventures. He returns to the jungle and makes more friends and has more adventures, becoming eventually king of the jungle. It is very wholesome and sweet. Good for children. Good morals.
