Surving (Past) New Years

Does this statement sound correct/like an okay philosophy:

"If no one else is panicking, I shouldn't panic."

Nope. I can't imagine anyone endorsing mass panic on any level. After all, it's a means in which unnecessary fatalities have occurred over relatively benign things like sporting events through a stampede of humans.

I was once fortunate to be in one of those situations where everyone avoided a panic and exited an area during a nasty earthquake in a very orderly- and silent fashion. - October 10, 1989.

Strive not to panic at all over the small stuff so if the big stuff ever comes it may serve you well. Think of it as something for you to consciously work on.
