Symptom of the day

Tech neck is how I've heard it referred to. I too realise my posture is bad and try to correct it. Tbh it feels like a bit of a lost cause because I'm on the computer at home - and doing that sat on the floor, swaying side to side for hours on end. It's not exactly good for any of my body parts I'm sure.

Still have that pain in my thighs, right about where the legs join the torso (not sure what to call that, it's the inner part of that joint rather than the outer part that is the hip), plus neuropathy due to chemo (for one of the most readily treatable forms of cancer in existence, no need to worry about me - I seriously would probably have a better chance of dying if I was otherwise healthy and caught the flu).

i'm sorry you're feeling so poorly Ed. :(

I agree with tree -- Magnesium supplements have helped me a little.

The specialist I saw was an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. They work with the jaw and all its structures. Mind you, I never went for the botox injections so I can't say how helpful they might be. I was referred by my dentist. I have also found osteopathy and acupuncture quite helpful, but only if they are highly trained practitioners. It's awful that you are suffering so much and I hope you will continue to leave messages until someone is able to help.

Difficulty with spontaneous speech. I really wish it wasn't so hard for me most of the time. Today I was talking to someone I know who works at the grocery store and just couldn't come up with a response to what he was saying while I was actually talking to him, but came up with the beginning of a scripted monologue on the subject over the few hours after I got back home. Basically happened twice this week, with two different people in slightly different ways.
Anyway, that's the symptom of the day that I was least thrilled by.

Sorry that happened. :(

I had word salad today and couldn't speak well either ^
I forgot several words and had to make gestures when speaking to a tradesman.

It's really frustrating sometimes. I think that I didn't say anything inappropriate either time, at least. I just couldn't really respond to one person and couldn't shut up with the other one (but didn't really have anything to say).
I hope you managed to get the message across to the tradesman.

My jaw started to improve over the weekend. I now have a lot better movement and ability to chew.

I had my occupational health assessment call yesterday afternoon. After describing the issues with chronic pain I've been experiencing for the past 8 years, the doctor recommended I speak with my local GP in order to arrange a Fibromyalgia assessment.

Feels like this year I'm making improvements, but at the same time - potentially adding a load more disorders to my resumé.

Today I'm heading out to shadow an engineer for the day. The drive is quite long - around 3 hours total. Whilst I enjoy driving, going to new places can cause some anxiety. Nowhere near as bad as it used to be - but I notice my stomach is not happy this morning. I just have that feeling of wanting to get home again, before it's even started.

As with many experiences, I'm sure it won't be as daunting or horrible as my emotions would assume. Still, I just want to slip back into my routine/normality as soon as I can.

Sore all over, for no apparent reason. Even my hands are sore. Didn't do anything out of the ordinary that might have caused soreness, and I'm otherwise not feeling ill in any way.

Living with constant fatigue - the big sleep sounds so relaxing.

I keep hearing what sounds like birds singing or chirping in my right ear, especially when it's quiet. I used to only hear it once in a while, but now I'm hearing it a lot, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. I there's something seriously wrong with my ear, or my brain, and I'm afraid.
