The Internet is disappearing...

I do wish the internet was only used as entertainment and not for living our whole lives.
 
A large chunk of the internet is dedicated to porn. So losing a good amount of that, would be a net positive really.

Yes and no.

I see entertainment as part of the problem, personally. Especailly when it's in the form of sites, like: YouTube, Instagram, TickTock, etc.

Education through information should be the core use of the internet. But because of the direction the world is going in. Even that is in danger, because of the lies being snuck in.

Porn has no use for me. I can't stand it.

Yes I do think internet trends are really stupid on places like TikTok and YouTube. I've never been on TikTok and I have no interest in it. YouTube has become disappointing because of all this copyright laws and crap.

These days I feel there are more lies on Google than truth.

YouTube has alot of problems, beyond it's copyright law flip floppery. And the companies that abuse it with impunity.

Creators and general users of the site, are both perpetually in the thier crosshairs for one thing or another. The blatant disregard when it comes to thier ads, malware specifically, is disgusting. Don't get me started on thier recent decisions with ads, making most of them unskipable.

Oh, and God forbid that you want to be an animator or a edgy humor youtuber on YouTube. You are public enemy number one, in thier book, for being either of those two things.

I could go on. But I will not. There are some dark crevices of YouTube, that just are not worth exploring.

It's not just Google. Wikipedia is another one. It's everywhere. Few places are left that are reputable enough for any worthy information.
 
Yeah that's what I meant. I often forget that Google is only a part of the web lol.

It's why I don't do much research online for facts so often appear clueless when discussing political or scientific facts online. I think it's easier for more intellectual Aspies who know where to look and can focus on learning the right facts, but it's not that easy for me and most other people. No wonder so many adults online are clueless, it's because most of the internet are filled with toxic lies.

Once my current mobile data runs out, I will be retiring from forums other than discussing games that show up at special events. So I will just be using public Wi-Fi occasionally.

I just find the web to be rather boring today, since this guy follows me about, and forums are rather inactive a lot of the time, too.

It took nearly forever for the Supreme Count finally to admit that the Internet is the "public square." (Packingham v. North Carolina)

I think of it more as Skid Row these days.
