No,paying property taxes is a form of extortion imhoDoes paying the property taxes count as *buying something*?
I walked over to the Township Hall this morning and paid the taxes,
again. The first time was a week ago, but then they sent out a Corrected
Bill and wouldn't accept anyone's payment that was based on the first
statement.
They had charged Interest on everyone's taxes and so any person who
paid based on that assessment paid too much. The Township isn't
accepting over-payments and refunding the excess. They are just sending
out Corrected Bills.
There weren't any dead animals by the side of the road today when I
walked over there. This was novel.
One of my Orange County chopper bicycles is in the process of getting a real noise maker installed on it as we post. What about the bubble gum cards to stick in the spokes?
Expired 35mm camera film. It was a charity shop auction on ebay, and I am currently experimenting with expired film.

Just testing it out, I have only used colour negative expired film so far, not got any developed yet. Mostly I am buying from sellers who have tested film from the same batch, and have examples of the results (which I like) but I have also taken a chance and bought stuff where I have no clue as to how it was stored and in the case of some APS film, when it actually expired. The unknowns are part of the fun. There are cases as well where I have not bought the film because expired, it looks the same as fresh. For example the Ferrania brand film. What are you doing with it Astroganga? I've used expired B&W film in the past, and the only difference between that and newer black and white was a tendency for the film to turn out slightly yellowed on exposure and development.
A lightweight aluminium tripod as the monopod I have is useless and requires holding it steady during use; and three APS films-paid slightly over the odds for the films as got caught up in a bidding war (APS film is becoming more scarce now and more popular, not a good combo). Also my food shopping was delivered today.
The one I got weighs just over a kg, so not the lightest available but definitely lighter than most , it holds up to 4.4kg. It is made by an obscure brand called Albott, but I have heard it is well designed and does the job well, it also has a ball head so can be angled in any direction.I have two tripods. A mega-heavy, expensive Bogen professional tripod, but also my trusty SLIK ultra-lightweight aluminum tripod. I can hold the SLIK tripod on the end of one finger!
But with shutter speeds lower than 1/60 a second, without features like image stabilization you find on DSLRs you'll very much need that tripod for just that reason.
