The Music Thread

The reason they say records sound better is because the music was better!

In our living room we have a 1964 Wurlitzer Lyric E Jukebox. It holds 50 records (100 songs) and sounds superb!
Heres a picture of it.

I used it in my short film Lost In Thought which can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL5M_9KcZ_I

DO you have any idea how lucky you are!? I want one too. Darn it, I`m so envious... But, I`m also happy for you.

I like the rock bands from the British Invasion era, in particular, The Kinks, and The Who. I like a lot of other music, as well.:elvis:

I listen to all sort of music, apart from Jazz. I don't know why, but jazz just makes me annoyed, maybe it's cause there's no rhyme or reason to it, and most of it's improvised, but eh.

My fave band of all time is Oasis, but I listen to a lot of other music too. If I had to give era's, I'd say 1960's - 1990's, mainly the earlier decades. I don't listen to many artists that've come up in the last decade, just a few.
Some examples of bands I listen to are:
1960's:
The Monkeys
Dusty Springfield
Jefferson Airplane
Mammas & Pappas
1970's:
Sex Pistols
The Clash
Queen
Simon & Garfunkel
1980's:
Toots & the Maytals
Strawberry Switchblade
The Vapors
Aneka
1990's:
Oasis
Blink 182
Eminem
The Offspring
2000's:
Lady Gaga
Alesana
Lostprophets
Arctic Monkeys

I have way too many favorite bands.

MGMT
The Beatles
The Kinks,
White Stripes
UB40
Radiohead
Electric Six
Soundgarden
Tool
Daft Punk
CCR
The Band
Cornershop

The Culture Club
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Gentle Giant
King Crimson of The Court
The Bee Gees

There are too many for me to name.

Here is just a description of my current music taste. My favourite genres would have to be celtic, new age, native american, "world" music like the stuff deep forest and karl jenkins does. I'm also really into dance genres like trance and stuff, I really like chillout as well. I like a bit of everything else to, but those others are my most listened to.
I've been listening to a lot of Phill Collins recently, especially the songs he did for the film Tarzan, "two worlds" is my favourite. I like film soundtracks in general actually including the song "he lives in you" off lion king 2, but my favourite film music would have to be John Williams because he always does the most epic soundtracks.
I also like rap music that has different lyrics than usual, like the nerdish stuff. My favourite rapper at the moment is baba brinkman, his lyrics are quite unusual because he sings about science and literature, his best album is "a rap guide to evolution" because despite the scientific theme of the lyrics, the things he says are pretty deep.
My fave song right now:
