The Sunrise, Sunset & Dusk Thread.

^ sorry… :smilingimp: …to balance my negativity about humans, may I offer my imaginary Bringer of the Sun:

She, herself is the Sunrise. But she does take it back each night and prepares it for a new day.

Here are two pictures at dawn from my paddle Sunday morning.

Before sunrise, heavy mist on the water.

After sunrise, slowly burning off the mist.

Sunset at low tide where I live, and starlings at sunset not too far from where I live.

Sunrising behind Tongariro, New Zealand. To the right edge of the sun you can see the volcanic steam venting.

This is an awesome thread. I love to see the sunrise and try to see it every day. Its hard to catch a sunrise for me in the winter because I’m at work before sunup. But in the summer I’ll see the sunrise almost every day.

I try to be out early enough to see both sunrises. I love hearing the birds sing when the tops of the trees get the sun. Then I get to see the sun 20 minutes later. Its my zen moment to start the day off.

Coffee, Dog, fresh air, sunrise. That really helps me to start the day off right.
