Time change

Screw Daylight Slavings Time; Standard time is the standard for a reason and it should've stayed that way. If it was good enough for the railroads it's good enough for me

It doesn't screw me up that badly. Just the first night when it jumps that hour.
I'm the opposite on standard vs daylight savings. I like daylight savings better because I am a night person. Having the daylight longer gives me the feeling I have not wasted so much daytime when I stay up until 3am.

It gives me more time to do what I want outside without it getting dark so early.
Wish they would change it to daylight savings to stay.

I HATE TIME CHANGES! It takes me almost the entire six months to adapt and then they change it again. This change totally ruins spring. Spring, the gentle increase in morning dawn, with warm zephyrs. Totally blown when plunged back into darkness.

45 more minutes in bed...and I still feel hung over.

On my second cup of coffee as I type this. It never ends. Though I appreciate it to hear that others have the same wretched issue. God bless...

Chalk it up to another "autistic sensitivity" I suppose. Good to know this isn't a "private hell" at all, knowing so many out there must deal with the same things. :(

Truthfully. It annoying that time change is a thing in general. I've heard that the big excuse for why it exists, is because of trying to help farmers. But truthfully. It just throws everything off.

The hell people's bodies go through.

I've been having significant mental issues lately. So the sudden time change just added on to it.

It basically just creates more work for me, as well. The sun will be out "later" and allow me to do more yard work after work-work. Yay. Can't wait.

I'm also suffering from time change. I only got a few hours the day of, and it's frustrating like heck that the sun comes out an hour later than it should. It also affected last night's sleep to the point where I woke up later than I should.

I'm just about done with it, now set it an hour back again so I can gain some sanity, lol!

(That last bit was supposed to be somewhat of a joke, but I understand if no one gets it)

Yes, unfortunately it does affect me. My body clock is usually pretty accurate, so the time changes in both the spring and the fall really affect me. :(

I really hate changing time twice a year. It is disruptive and has adverse health effects for everyone.

I much prefer standard time. Scientists and doctors seem to agree, from what I can tell. The clock time should match solar time as much as possible to fit our circadian rhythm. Earlier sunrises and sunsets help us sleep better and improve health. It is also safer for people in the morning to have sunlight.

It looks like switching to permanent DST is more likely to happen, which annoys me, but I admit it would be better than the current state of affairs.

edit: I just remembered that the US switched to permanent DST in the early 70s but people hated it and it was too dangerous for children in the morning. It didn't last long.

I would rather it just stay standard time. I don't need sunset to be 9:30 in the summer, and another 30-60 minutes before it gets noticeably dark. An article from 1986 cites this is one of the contributing factors in choosing to close down our drive-in theater.

I don't have young kids anymore, but I feel for the kids who have to walk to school in the dark now. I don't like driving to work in the dark again either. I was just enjoying the light so I could watch for deer and things better. I think safety is more important than an extra hour of outdoor activity in the summer evenings.
