Today I learned...

The facekini, which basically looks like a ski mask made of the fabric normally used in bathing suits, was invented in China to protect the swimmer's face from jellyfish stings. But women in China started wearing them mainly to keep their faces from getting tanned because traditionally, light skin in Asia is seen as attractive.

Well, it would keep my light skin from being sunburned, but I'd bet I'd get some weird looks wearing one to the beach. And I'll bet your skin through the holes in the mask would tan, and that would really look weird.:)
