Too high expectations

An old boss of mine, when I happened to be on the divisional management team, would turn to me after long discussion and ask for my input. He had learned, and commented on, that I would sit and take the whole discussion in, process it and reduce it, but generally not contribute until asked. (The whole “how to be part of the conversation” problem so many of us struggle with.) But he had learned the value of my “undiagnosed at that stage” autistic superpower. @vergil96, you may well have it too (hyperfocus + data reduction + logical analysis.) You just need to find people to value it.
For sure it is beneficial to be able to contribute in a unique way at work. I'm trying to follow this route when looking for a job right now, to make sure I'm valued and that my abilities are recognised by future managers. I might not be the one to have the best self-marketing skills, but people who have already known me for a long time know that quality of my work is good.

Keep in mind that @AuAL is in Australia (IIRC) and other countries don't really have the same concept of lavish Big Tech jobs.
Do you mean that there are not as many corporate jobs in tech in Austrialia? Tbh I thought corporate jobs in international companies look very similar across different countries due to the firms being international.

There's a lot of high tech industries here but we have a different attitude towards large corporations, very much influenced by situations in the US that we definitely do not want in our country. Eg: it's illegal here for companies to offer health insurance as an inducement for employment because it amounts to being indentured or enslaved.

In a lot of large corporations a lot of their workers will actually be sole trader companies working under contract, this happens in cases where individuals want protection for their own intellectual property. Then there's other employees who prefer to work for a wage because of how our superannuation system works and they want a healthy retirement.

Our tech industry is pretty advanced though, there's a lot of technology around the world that came out of Australia although most people would never realise it. Wifi, google maps, etc.

Oh, these exist, but's more like the USA pays them many times more and gives them many more perks (all merit based, in theory). There's a reason why so many people emigrate to the USA to work in Big Tech.

Wow, I didn't know about Wi-Fi and Google Maps!

I think Poland is more similar to the US in that regard, many people don't have a work contract and there the social warfare is there, but it's minimal.

At the moment here a couple of big projects soon to be finalised and released in to the world are:

Sodium Ion Batteries for electricity infrastructure projects, they take longer to charge than Lihtium Ion but they're cheaper to make, they hold more charge than lithium and they don't overheat and explode.

Ammonia fueled internal combustion engines. This is necessary for Australia's freight transport needs and so far trials have been very successful. Deutschebahn is running trains on the Aussie ammonia system and Toyota is about to start trialing ammonia fueled cars in China. I'm really looking forward to the cars, hopefully they'll be available here in another 3 to 5 years.

The recent diagnosis requires me to do sport or take walks and take breaks, have rest.
Having serious cardiac issues doesn't preclude exercising, but you have to be more cautious about it and follow medical direction carefully. I was born with a crippled heart that restricts my circulation. I can't do very aerobic stuff. My cardiologist's standing instructions for exercise are that I can push myself to my wall, but not to try jumping over it. In other words, I'll know my limit when I find it and stop there.

I have been paddle boarding most days this past two weeks and I am feeling better for it. It's good to do as much as you can.

Yeah, I noticed I can't do very intense cardio, because it makes me feel weak and dizzy and I just can't do more, I just didn't know it could have anything to do with a medical condition. I mean, I didn't mention that to the doctor nor was it subject of the discussion, but it very well could be. My migraines got better after getting the medication, so it could be related to a whole bunch of health annoyances I have. My condition is more on the vascular side and it became a serious problem with swelling and edema pushing on nerves. The heat wave made it worse, and I should help my circulation and walk or do moderate carido preferably daily and not sit for hours. And try not to overheat. I mean... sedentary lifestyle is a problem for many reasons and I'm not surprised it aggravates medical conditions, we just didn't evolve for it.

I'm not sure anymore, but I've had few faint spells and shevek who is doctor said he often feeds electrolytes to ASD patients....I did notice my stamina lacking at sports and I realise now watering wasn't just my co-ord holding a tray, but weakness in my wrists.
My one son is 2colour blind and I was told it's genes but now I'm finding out otherwise.....

Risk factors:

  • Gender: Men are more likely to be colorblind than women, who rarely suffer from this problem.
  • Having a family history of color blindness.
  • Glaucoma (blue water).
  • Diabetic
  • Age-related macular degeneration.
  • Alzheimer's disease or multiple sclerosis.
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Alcohol addiction
  • Leukemia
  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Some medicines, for example, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

My ex has asthma and skin allergies, but I reckon he's ADHD and suspecting this explains his addiction to speed, I got him off drugs few times, helped narcissist get IT jobs when he down n out, but in the end his lungs collapsing from smoking, so he met this idiot JP who gave him needles and I just couldn't get him clean after that, but it wasn't fair I fixed countless relapses.
Thank God my boys don't have asthma as we have like enough medical drama with twins complication, grandfather was also a twin, Prem and in those days insulin wasn't as advanced.

From my ex, not Asma but allergy meds, can be addictive and at times he was so high it was like he wasn't there!!!

Allergy to mold, washing powder detergent, he'd get these hive type saws on skin and then asthma was connected and he'd sit with his pump.
Can't remember meds that time, black gel capsules and yip, he wasn't walking properly.

Are your subjects I.T. specific
It's not what it used to be, mostly I see people moving towards AI or robotics is new hype.
If subjects math and science and interest in DNA decoding, the hi-tec jobs in USA are amazing benefits, like if you talented they'll get you PA who organises anything you need. I'm here on other end of world so it's pretty much conservation/farming or usual job sector.
A friend was set after his medical oath, gave him apartment and anything/everything
Including his own laboratory with big do not disturb sign.
So his repetitive limited topic of obsession was alteimers cure, and my manganese dispenser.

Pollen, dust
So can't go walking depending on seasonal..... (Allergex in pollen season)

Pollution and asthma, so car smog from traffic, don't live near a refinery

Etc. Etc .

Ye, the day horse riding.... My vision was like monitor switching to 16bit
I had to stop horse before I collapsed!!

It's sooooo annoying as I had these generic little red multi vitamins NS I had being taking, and when I stopped my vision issues started, light sensitivity - blurry vision - actual strain and feeling I was headed for a stroke with a migraine from hell.
Annoying thing was finding out which vitamin I needed as it's unlabeled (vitamin a)

My friend said roughly 30 years ag0, Ava was his female assistant and she was back then reporting on migraines at work, and I suppose they'd noticed IBS symptoms too and hence why rinse all grains and went so strict to avoid alteimers.
If I'd known, I'd never have had occasional pasta.

Watch electrolyte level, too much potassium sets up heart rate!!!

I had laser treatment once, when it went over my heart it was bad, same with morphine and my boy and I both had heart rate increase when we contracted COVID.
I think did bring up stats on thread somewhere and whilst many asd have heart issue there wasn't conclusive medical findings

A doctor can't go out box, break protocol and medical laws require proof to set medical standards,
Law suits and boy can people sue for medical negligence

I don't mean to be rude about researchers but bunch of idiots, and we sit here like (and some schools still use term remedial) so we sit here like remedials guinea pigs while seems these professionals spy/watch this site.
I'm just generally sicka people, and I'm so sick of hearing go see a therapist or doctor#@@#&-+()_#@&+(&@

Sad story, the one day I found a little black baby sho had being abandoned on garbage heap as his mother just couldn't cope with poverty anymore. I had to drop him off at a clinic.
Bad enough?
Found another baby girl, rapped, wouldn't think people rape such tiny babies! Entrails hanging out and so terrified she was too abandoned, died by time got to hospital.

No one cares, they just black. I nearly lost my mind. I eventually contacted government to report on what was found, few really good people who were willing to take action, and it was action with risk

Similar issue found in Indonesia, underage child prostitution ( Asia knows about Cambodia trade, but west was naive) but when you that poor no one cares, just continued on and on.

Had no idea how bad this issue was, widespread until Belgian laws passed crack down on paediofiles,
I'm sorry to seem like a b###tch but once laws were passed it was easier for male tooth faerie god mother's to swoop in and take hero credits....
Same with WHO recognising autism females as vulnerable group, yet when you consider this site was full of filth,

What would you do if you went walking one day and out of no where heard baby crying?

The missionary said he went to Cambodia to help, as soon as he heard. (Out of goodness of his heart, but still continued effort to capitalise on cheap Chinese labour) and barely leaving work behind since poverty was causative.

But ironically It was more disguise to save white/blond little babies, and use {very difficult/hard earned Belgian laws to leverage from others}

About sick of way people are and #$_-+)/)+&_
I may be a loud mouth, but what I'm not is a liar, cheat and thief.
I never went and proclaimed myself as being smart enough to spot the manganese in dead calf.
And quickly latch onto alteimers research and opianoid usage in dumb blond old age homes,

I'm sorry, the real geniuses discovered this 30 years ago and the thing about useless, loud mouths is always make most noise when want credit for what they don't do.

Is it possible to lie about dates on open university websites, or are people having integrity.
