Trouble being supportive

I disagree that that is guy stuff. I'm a girl and I love wrenching on stuff. I love taking things apart and seeing how they work. I don't do it only because I could never put them back together again.

This isn't about gender, this is about connecting with a partner who has different interests.
 
This is guy stuff. You are a woman. You are not obligated to squeal like a fangirl, just like he is not obligated to squeal like a fangirl when you get a new haircut.
This advertisement explains it perfectly:
Wow, how clever of you to know what my boyfriend and I like doing just by our genitals!
That's not how this works, at all.
 
I have seen that interest before, but rarely, btw. Inventing contraptions out of spare items and such. Mostly in movies, but also years ago there was a famous comedic inventor named Rube Goldberg. I also see it on You Tube videos where people make amazing sequences of one thing activating another which activates another, etc.
 
That was one of the sequences I was thinking about. Probably the most amazing. Six hundred and seventh try is a charm! :D
