Un-PC Question: Does anyone get sensory overload when talking to a person whose English is bad?

It helps to exist long-term in a work environment with many people with accents. In working for an insurance company in San Francisco it frequently felt like I was at the United Nations. I got used to it. But I suspect had I had to talk to the same folks over the phone every day, that would have worn on me.

You know, I could barely be understood when I was speaking in my native language and was aware enough of the fact that I ended up feeling extra anxious whenever I had to talk circa middle/high school. I imagine this kind of attitude is part of the reason why. (And yes, I also speak bad English, and by now I speak it better than I do my native language.)
