What are you having for dinner tonight?

(Heavy sigh) Mr. IBS acting up again possibly from work being a little too stressful. I know this is the "What are you having for dinner tonight" thread, but I hate my job. Extremely stressful as they are running the hospital understaffed which is very dangerous. Mr. IBS + extreme stress = :(:confused::eek::oops: (sometimes all of those at once).

Anyway, that being said, I'm having a salad (because I refuse to give up salads - I love them too much) and ...............
TACO SPAGHETTIO! Yes, I had a can of Taco Spaghettio last week and IT WAS YUMMY!!!!!!!!! It's a brand new flavor and I thought "Wth. Taco and Spaghettio? How can Mexican be mixed with Italian? Isn't there some food rule prohibiting this?" But, Franco American did it!!!!! And you should try it too!!!!! (No I don't work for the Franco American company :)).

And that's what I'm having for dinner tonight.

Carne Asada Fries from Robertos, carne asada served over French fries and topped with guacamole, sour cream, cilantro, salsa and cheese! Mexican food doesn't get better than this!

Tonight, I baked a homemade lasagna and made some garlic toast. If I'd remembered, I would have gotten some stuff for a salad because pasta and salad make a wonderful couple. It was good!

It's my turn to cook dinner and the cook gets to decide what we're having. I don't know what it will be, but I do know it will be cooked outside on the grill.

I'm having "the Chef" again tonight. What would life be without canned substances? I may toss in a can of chili, but I don't know if Mr. IBS would be up for all those beans or not. We'll see - or rather "smell". :p

I too have a issue with "Mr. IBS". It seems to help me to drink water, lots of water. Is there anything to that? Or am I just fooling myself?

That water thing is probably true. I also eat all the foods that I like and that Mr IBS isn't a fan of - red onions, tomato based soups, beans, hot sauce (you get the picture). Now I haven't exercised like I should be doing so Mr IBS has been giving me a lot of heartburn. I just can't win with Mr IBS.

Tonight was a simple chicken finger sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard. I would have made my chicken sauce, but I wasn't in the mood for a spicy chicken sandwich.

How many other carnivores are out there? By that I mean, I never eat veggies, I despise them, even more so since when I would not eat overcooked green mush that used to be a vegetable as a child I was beaten within a 16th of an inch of my life, so I only eat meat and the occasional bread or pasta with it, and cheese and eggs. I do eat bananas because without the potassium I get severe muscle cramps, and of course I take a daily multivitamin to cover nutritional requirements. Am I the only carnivore out there?

Tonight I will be having some leftover 4 cheese sausage tortellini I made yesterday.

Can of tomato sauce and frozen meatballs over linguine pasta. A little Italian seasoning and some olive oil drizzled over it with some Kraft parmesan cheese. Not bad, actually!

Stuffed bell peppers. Beef/lamb/rice mixture with onions and parsley in a tomato sauce broth topped with a dollop of plain yogurt. Yum-yum. It's nice having an Armenian friend who can cook. It almost makes working overtime worthwhile. :)

Tonight I made a new recipe! Mexican Lasagna. I can't wait to see what it tastes like - it even has an egg! Can you tell I love green onions? I have some extra too on the side! Yummy! Heartburn city!
