I always hated this song and the stupid dance that went with it. Another one that haunted my teenage years. Not sure if this was really circulated in the mainstream tho or if it was more just a niche song in urban areas. I also hated the Cha Cha Slide!!!
I loved this song growing up but I'm pretty sick of it now. Although I can still appreciate that it's a good song.
I think every black and Hispanic girl my age has twerked and "dropped it" to this song at some point in their teenage and young adult lives. Most definitely white girls too.
This is probably one of the reasons ass music has gone mainstream lmao
Any other millenials remember this song? I think I had it on a Radio Disney CD lol. I couldn't remember if it was M2M or Play that sang it. It's M2M!
This is from when I was in college. I feel old as hell lol. Many people have said that this song makes them think of me and my personality.
When I was a DJ at a local club, this is one of the first songs I ever included in one of my sets. Female DJs were super uncommon in the 2010s and I had to prove my skills against several men in order to be a DJ and not get relegated to being a "sexy" bartender lol. We were popularly referred to as "D-Janes" for a while I think EDM mixing and club residency has gotten more inclusive since then but it is still largely male-dominated. I always had to hold my own against male drummers too!
That is amazing!! I didn't realize they were Norwegian! I figured they weren't American though.I'm so surprised to see M2M here, Marit Larsen and Marion Raven. I have met those two girls. They are from Lørenskog, where I was born.

I liked more of their songs but I can't remember the names of them off the top of my head. I really liked A*Teens and Vengaboys too.
Sandstorm is, unironically, one of my favorites.Just as the 90s was about to end, Sandstorm happened. I still remember a girl saying "you have to hear this!" and playing Sandstorm. Then I heard nothing but Sandstorm for 3 months. Just like Cotton Eye Joe, it was everywhere. Then it turned into a meme years later. This has to be the most famous Finnish tune ever.
Who will admit to remembering this one?
Pink Floyd, Beatles, Rolling Stones, are a few. Maybe I am a bit older than the average member here.
