That's awesome! What a cool find! I might look that up later, though my french is pretty rubbish, I find I know enough to figure out enough of what's going on to follow alongBrushing upon my French, looking for French movies, found XUMO, a free streaming service with a lot of movies. I built an old time radio from a 1947 Sears Silvertone table radio and a Raspberry Pi. I have over 1200 mp3s from old radio shows and old individual songs. If you turn the tuning knob, you get a sound of a radio being rapidly tuned, and a different mp3 plays. The mp3s are on random shuffle, or play sequentially, depending on which preset buttons are pushed. When the on/off knob is first turned on, you hear a hum fade in before the music begins to play, simulating tubes warming up.I'm planning on using a Raspberry Pi computer to create a "TV Station from the 80s/90s". It will just play videos all day, basically like my "Domestic Pirate Radio Station" but it will be "broadcast" to all the TVs in the house, so you can tune in and get the more focused style of TV programming we got in the 80s and 90s (at least in the UK where we only had 4, and later, 5 terrestrial channels). I'm getting lots of cool documentaries and TV series on archive.org
I love it! Brilliant! I'm thinking of having my TV station "channel hop", kinda to simulate my viewing habits from back when TV was varied and fun. There will be a small amount of artistic licence. For example on a Wednesday when I got home from school I'd watch a couple of things on Children's BBC then I'd tune to Channel 4 and watch things like Rosanne and Rocko's Modern Life then over to BBC2 for Star Trek. So I think I'm going to make it look like I flipped channels with some original Idents that you can find on YouTube etcI built an old time radio from a 1947 Sears Silvertone table radio and a Raspberry Pi. They sound nice! I should make something like that rather than buying snack bars. I did make some cookies a couple of weeks ago, trying to mimic those big chewy ones you get from the store. I'm still figuring out the ratios. I use a dessert mix (we call Angel Delight in the UK) for flavouring and to help with the texture. I think I need to use a little less butter but they were still nice, just a little too thin when they came out of the oven. Hopefully the next batch will be just the way I want themI found some leftover homemade snack bars in the freezer. I made them for my canoe trip. They are still good and taste good.
Mine are so easy to make and require no baking. I mix many wholesome things together, chopped nuts, high protein cold cereal, sesame seeds, chia seeds, linseed…sometimes some chocolate chips. Then I cover with melted marshmallows. Stir well. Press into cookie sheet. When it has cooled, cut into bars. The marshmallows- well you need a lot of calories paddling all day. They sound nice!
