What Do You Love About Winter?

I'm on the lack of mosquitoes team, but also like the lower temperature when I sleep, I like sleeping under a warm thick cover/blanket, I don't like so much that I can't leave the door to the garden open in the winter for the cats to roam freely... I also like the sound the snow makes when it is really cold, not too common for that to happen here anymore thou..

Changed my wallpaper just to accommodate the season to be jolly:

Ahhhhhhhhh.webp

I don't have what I always loved about winter in the more tropical area I live in now.

When I did live in Missouri, I loved a soft winter snow to walk in.
Icicles that grew to be the height of the house from the roof to the ground.
My black cat loved playing in the snow. I would make a snowman.

And Christmas with my parents and pets. Decorating the tree. Putting up the lights.
A day of feasting and gifts.
The day represented a time of family love that I've never found since.

Here, in Florida, winter is the best time of the year weather wise to me.
No hurricanes and I like the cooler weather. It is also our dry season of lower humidity.

Always felt snowy days look beautiful. Being able to wear winter clothes as well. Love being able to go for a hot chocolate or grab some soup without it feeling out of place. Love being able to hike to places without having so many people around.
