What is your favorite Beer?

talking to Beer drinkers on here what is your favorite Beer? mine is Budweiser King Of The Beers tell me your favorite beer ps i dont want to here anything about the Bud light boycott stuff cause its just ridiculous

When I used to drink I'd go with dark, strong ales.

I had a drinking problem, and I used to go with the high percentage stuff.

Champion was often my go to (7.3%):

I don’t really drink anymore, but when I was younger, I preferred Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Truly, and hard cider, over regular beer.
I would probably still drink those on occasion if I wasn’t on blood pressure meds and seizure meds. But I have also grown out of partying all the time. Going out for a friend’s birthday on Friday was way too much for me and I slept until 1pm lol

I don’t like the taste of beer. I know some people do, but it’s not for me. I have always preferred mixed drinks.

I have two bottles of vodka, and about 20 cans of hard cider and lemonade in my fridge that I’m never going to drink, I hope I have a party sometime soon and my friends will get rid of them lol. I moved in February and still have not had a housewarming party.

I'm one of those who thinks most beer just taste like beer, not much difference between them. And I don't drink now. But the Danes have a beer called Tuborg, I used to drink that. Mostly because I liked the green color on the bottle. :) So I'm not a beer connoisseur.

There is one beer that stands out though, it's called mjød. Old viking beer. It's similar to mead, but mead is more wine-ish and mjød is beer-ish. You can't buy it in stores, have to make it yourself. I know an elderly gentleman who is very good at making it and that stuff will knock your socks off.

I dislike beer; I cannot consume it due to sensory issues because of the carbonation. Thanks, autism, I guess? Likewise I cannot consume sparkling water or soda. I don't like drinking static electricity.

Red wine, though, I am fond of. I've had rum cider as well in the past; it is warming in more ways than one.

Any kind of a red ale--and a good one too. I have tried dark beers, thought they were okayish but a bit muddly; tried an IPA once and decided I don't actually hate myself enough to drink those. In the lightweight American lager corner, regular old Budweiser beats Natural Light as far as ice-cold picnic drinkability but it's more of a social thing than anything else. Standard red ale is the best thing there is.

I can afford to drink $8-a-pint beer when I only drink said pint once every two years or so. Got aholt of this stuff in the middle of Vermont while living out of my car on a road trip/extended vacation/"mother, is that guy in the funny hat homeless" sort of trip, and it was pretty good. Worth it.

Am very nearly a T-total abstainer but drinking is fun.

I don't drink beer because I have a moderate allergy to hops and I really don't like the taste. Among other things, I love French Bourdeaux, South American and Australian Merlots, occasional California cabernets and pinot noirs.

I enjoy drinking in moderation. My favorite is Dragon's milk. Stout aged in Bourbon barrels. It picks up vanilla and caramel flavors from the bourbon and oak.

Sometimes I am in the mood for Kasteel Rouge, a Belgian Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor blend.

YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING AT ALL!!

YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING AT ALL!!
I neither consume alcohol to numb myself or to withdraw from life. And, I will not consume it before driving or doing hazardous activities. A light intoxication is all I will tolerate. When working in Japan I have seen inebriated salarymen crawling on train platforms and will never be like that. Never.

Also, I am 420 friendly. Over the past year I have been going through some humbling exercises in coping with PTSD. During some, and in order to be open with myself, I have used edibles, 10 mg CBD/10 MH THC. This allowed me to confront the lies that I have told myself, taking my ego out of the equation. I do not make a habit of its use.

If dont drink why comment on this forum?
BECAUSE I DON'T NEED TO BE DRUNK TO DO THAT!! I can comment just fine without drinking!! Did you know my stepfather, who has schizo-effectivr disorder and is bipolar, used to drink?! He has tried to kill me multiple times, I have an entire LIBRARY of moments I can recall for you where he's pulled a knife on me, or a broken bottle, or a broom, or a hammer, a meat cleaver, a fork, a telescoping baton, a brick from the front yard, pieces of glass, he's thrown a wrench at me, he's tried to light my clothes on fire, he's tried to throw hot cooking oil on me, YOU WANT ME TO KEEP GOING? I CAN TYPE ALL DAY.

The next time you ask me my thoughts on alcohol, ask someone else if it's okay to do so.
Spoiler: It is not. And never will be.

@UberScout if this post triggers you please just leave it alone. This is a forum for many questions. Alcohol isn`t a problem for everyone. Eventhou I understand it is for you. And I can fully understand you have a huge problem with it from your personal experience. But there is a huge difference between people who enjoy drinking 2 beers or someone you have experience with. Your line of thinking would also mean that any gun owner is a killer.

But to the question. I like to drink Guinness. I am more of a whiskey guy, but sometimes will go to an irish pub with my wife and we enjoy a couple of stouts.

We've got a thriving craft beer thing going on here in the UK. Lots of small breweries and a huge range of good ales. There's such a big difference between good quality small-scale beers and the mass-produced stuff. So much so, they really shouldn't be called the same thing.

I prefer ale to lager. One of my favorites is Tribute, a pale ale from the St Austell Brewery, which I think is the oldest brewery in the UK.

For the last few years it has been Dos Equis Amber. Goes nicely with a hearty Mexican dinner.
