What song are you listening to right now?

I am very depressed right now and this song is on the verge of making me cry.

Tom Waits
"Fish & Bird"

The pessimist in me clearly doesn't think the spoken intro on this song is that far fetched and could just as well be reality at some point

Transcript

The only alternative left was to increase the death rate, no one wanted to pick people out of a crowd and line them up for execution, neither did they relish the possible consequences of an enraged public upon discovering that they were being systematically murdered. A very short but very deadly global war was contemplated. Something else had to be done that would absolve the decision-makers of guilt, something that could be blamed upon Mother Nature. The answer, a synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist for which no natural immunity could have been acquired. The United States population was infected. The vaccine was administered by the world health organization. Whatever causes AIDS was in the vaccine

Radney Foster - Angel Flight. A VERY touching song. FINALLY got to hear it on Pandora. The video though is a real tear jerker!

Here's the lyrics:

All I ever wanted to do was fly
Leave this world and live in the sky
I left the C130 out of Fort Worth town
I go up some days I don't wanna come down

Well I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Come on brother you're with me tonight
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home

I love my family and I love this land
But tonight this flight's for another man
We do what we do because we heard the call
Some gave a little, but he gave it all

I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Come on brother you're with me tonight
(Come on brother you're with me tonight)
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home

Well the cockpit's quiet and the stars are bright.
Feels kinda like church in here tonight
It don't matter where we touch down
On the Angel Flight its sacred ground

I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Gotta hero riding with us tonight
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home

Possibly the best guitar lick in the history of guitar licks (in my not-so-humble opinion).

The Allman Brothers Band
"One Way Out" [from Eat a Peach]
